Windsor Castle
The town of Windsor is best known for its historical links to the British royal family, and it is suitably steeped in pageantry and history. Towering over the rest of the town is Windsor Castle, the ancestral home of the English and later British monarchy, and largest inhabited castle in the world. It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years and is today one of the official residences of His Majesty The King. Occupying over 10.5 hectares, the Castle offers a varied day out for visitors, including a visit to the magnificent State Apartments and St George's Chapel. The Castle's State Apartments are furnished with some of the finest works from the Royal Collection, reflecting the changing tastes of the Castle's royal occupants, particularly those of Charles II and George IV. If you decide not to include admission to Windsor Castle, you will have free time in Windsor town.
St. George's Chapel
St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in England, is a chapel designed in the high-medieval Gothic style. It is both a Royal Peculiar, a church under the direct jurisdiction of the monarch, and the Chapel of the Order of the Garter. Anna and Damon were amazing! Great for hitting the highlights in all three spots without having to navigate transportation. Especially with older folks who can’t walk as far. If you are considering, definitely go!

We had a lovely time on our tour! The coach bus was very nice and our tour guide Sandra kept it informative and entertaining! She also went the extra mile to make sure everyone knew how to get back home or to their hotels before we reached our final stop. The bus driver did a great job safely navigating winding and busy roads. We would definitely do another tour with them! We found Windsor castle, Stonehenge, and Oxford all worth the trip.

From the moment Phil (tour guide) opened up to address us, I knew it was going to be an incredible experience and boy did he exceed my expectations. He is a walking wealth of experience with an incredible talent of carrying you on a journey to historical times. Windsor Castle was great with so much information, Stonehenge was awesome and the Oxford trip was the awesomest. Thanks so much for an amazing time I will cherish forever. And oh! Earl (our coach driver) was such an experienced gem of a driver. If you ever chance of these two on your trip together, know you are in for a lovely treat. Thanks Phil and Earl!

Our day tour to Windsor Castle and Stonehenge was absolutely fantastic, largely thanks to our outstanding tour guide. She masterfully conducted the entire tour in both English and Spanish, delivering informative, educational, and fun commentary in two languages—a truly impressive feat. We felt the time allotted at both Windsor Castle and Stonehenge was perfect, giving us ample opportunity to explore and appreciate these magnificent historical sites without feeling rushed. Both locations were definite highlights, and the journey between them was managed beautifully by our engaging guide. Unfortunately, the final leg of the tour to Oxford was a major disappointment. By the time our bus arrived, it was already dark, making it impossible to see or appreciate the city. This delay was caused by the bus getting caught in a significant traffic jam—a situation that seemed entirely avoidable in 2025. Modern GPS should have alerted the driver to the jam well in advance; even I could see the backup forming on my own map 20 minutes before we were committed. Because we lost so much time, the visit was cut short and felt pointless. We strongly suggest the tour company either cut Oxford from the itinerary after daylight saving time ends or use GPS more effectively. Furthermore, if traffic issues force a significant shortening of the tour, pro-rated refunds should be offered to compensate passengers for the missed experiences.
