Windsor Castle
The town of Windsor is best known for its historical links to the British royal family, and it is suitably steeped in pageantry and history. Towering over the rest of the town is Windsor Castle, the ancestral home of the English and later British monarchy, and largest inhabited castle in the world. It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years and is today one of the official residences of His Majesty The King. Occupying over 10.5 hectares, the Castle offers a varied day out for visitors, including a visit to the magnificent State Apartments and St George's Chapel. The Castle's State Apartments are furnished with some of the finest works from the Royal Collection, reflecting the changing tastes of the Castle's royal occupants, particularly those of Charles II and George IV. If you decide not to include admission to Windsor Castle, you will have free time in Windsor town.
St. George's Chapel
St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in England, is a chapel designed in the high-medieval Gothic style. It is both a Royal Peculiar, a church under the direct jurisdiction of the monarch, and the Chapel of the Order of the Garter. Seating approximately 800, it is located in the Lower Ward of the castle. (If option selected.)

We spent a wonderful day on this tour. Each place visited was so enjoyed and our tour guide Robert was exceptional. He was full of knowledge and gave us a great understanding of each place with history and his stories. Oxford was our favourite. We learned a lot, the weather was perfect, and we just loved our day and this tour. Highly recommend this tour and if you can get him, Robert as your guide.

We visited on Dec 1 and Phil was our guide (and Rad was our driver). Phil did an amazing job of narrating the day and providing so much interesting information. Rad was a great driver, too! Windsor Castle was our first stop and I'm so glad that Phil walked with us to the gate or we would have spent all of our time just wandering around and missing the actual castle - I didn't realize that there was so much to see/do AROUND the castle itself! It rained (heavily) while we visited Stone Henge, so nobody stayed out and explored for very long. Phil helped to ensure that we all caught the bus together to get to the rocks and then took photos for anyone who wanted them. Last stop was Bath, and I really didn't know anything about this city before the tour. Phil provided some interesting history, and the area outside of the Roman Baths was all set up with Christmas markets, and it was just beautiful. There were lots of food trucks and vendors (which was good because we spent too much time walking around the castle at the first stop to grab food so we were quite hungry). The ride back was quiet as most of us had a little nap. When we arrived back in the city, Phil was very helpful in making sure everyone knew where they were going. My only complaint would be that I wish we had more time. Adding another 30 min to each stop (especially if it's not pouring rain the whole day) would have been nice to not feel quite as rushed. Phil did warn us that this was an "appetizer tour" and that it would leave us wanting more! I highly recommend this tour!
