Windsor Castle
The town of Windsor is best known for its historical links to the British royal family, and it is suitably steeped in pageantry and history. Towering over the rest of the town is Windsor Castle, the ancestral home of the English and later British monarchy, and largest inhabited castle in the world. It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years and is today one of the official residences of His Majesty The King. Occupying over 10.5 hectares, the Castle offers a varied day out for visitors, including a visit to the magnificent State Apartments and St George's Chapel. The Castle's State Apartments are furnished with some of the finest works from the Royal Collection, reflecting the changing tastes of the Castle's royal occupants, particularly those of Charles II and George IV. Many of the works of art are still in the historic settings for which they were first collected or commissioned by the kings and queens who have lived at Windsor.

Best way to see three historically important sites in a day! Our guide Kevin masterfully shared tales of kings past and scholarly musings that kept us entertained and helped us understand British history better. The coach bus was new and quite comfortable, with time to rest and relax on the bus between sites. Great driver, too - thanks, Earl! . So glad we picked this tour!

I don’t speak English, I can listen a little, but it was a tour that was fun enough. Simon, our guide, showed us not only where to go on tour, but also while we were driving around London on the bus, and we enjoyed the ride. Each location lasted about an hour and a half, and we toured Windsor Castle and Stonehenge listening to audio guides, while Simon guided us in Oxford. After the guide, I had a little free time, so I was glad I could go where I wanted to go. It was really quick because we were going to three places in one day. I would have loved to have seen more, but I had enough fun. Simon's red umbrella was also a marker, which was easy to understand, and personally reminded me of Hagrid. It was a lovely day. Thank you, Simon.

Simon was amazing; he shared some interesting local and historical knowledge along the way and at the destinations. Stonehenge is a very unique experience, Windsor Castle is quite amazing and full of so much history, and Oxford is a great end of the tour. Thanks Simon and Christian for a fun day and smooth ride!

This was a good highlights tour. We will have to go back to Windsor for a more in depth look around. It was also nice to see a lot of the countryside.
