We loved the Owia Salt Pond and the Owia Waterfalls. What beautiful places. Please note that the Owia Waterfalls is a bit difficult to get to, and we wish this had been communicated to us before the tour. Communication before the trip was great. However, on the day of the tour, there wasn't a great communication between the owner and our driver, who was hired that morning to fill in for the tour operator because they were overextended. So our driver, Demoun, from Krown Taxi, was great, but he didn't know how many people would be on the tour, and that he needed to bring the credit card machine. This created problems at the end of the tour because we didn't have any cash with us. Our driver, Demoun, was great, had lots of interesting information, and allowed us to concentrate on the sights that we wanted to see. Beware, though, this is a long trip, 7 hours, and if there is traffic near the port or in town, it can get dicey to make it back to the cruise ship. We almost missed our ship, and had to get out and run the last bit because of the traffic near the port. We would still do this tour because the places are so beautiful.

We had a fantastic time going to see the Owia salt pond. It’s a tide pool between black volcanic rocks. We took snorkeling stuff and had a great experience.
