What To Expect
Your adventure begins in our cozy flight lounge overlooking our most frequent launch site. Savor fresh coffee and snacks as you watch the colorful balloons inflate around you. Once everyone is gathered, your experienced pilots will guide you through a pre-flight safety briefing, after which we'll witness the thrilling final stage of inflation right on the tarmac. As the balloons stand tall, you'll climb aboard and capture a few photos before lifting off into the morning sky. For the next hour, we'll drift along with the winds, utilizing different altitudes to gently steer the balloon towards our landing spot. During this serene journey, soak in the breathtaking views and create lasting memories. Upon landing, the balloon will be deflated, and we'll whisk you back to the airport for a celebratory champagne toast, captivating stories about ballooning history, and tales from your pilots' adventures.

5.00Great experience! Best birthday gift! Seeing the beautiful sunrise and views. Our pilot was Mateo and he was awesome! The ride was not scary at all in fact it was smooth and safe. Worth doing this activity if you are considering. My partner was afraid of heights but once we started going up the fear went away. Again great experience!

4.00We had a good experience! Nacho was very informative and gave good running commentary. Smooth flight. Felt the flight was too short just 1hr total flying, lot of time we were just floating at one spot. May be our expectations of doing hot air balloon were too high. A bucket list item checked. Champagne after was great as well !

5.00It was a wonderful experience. The flight leaves at dawn with the other travelers that have booked that day. The pilot will take your picture in front on the balloon which was super helpful to me as a solo traveler. The flight will only take off if the weather is optimal. They rescheduled my flight because the first day was too windy. This assured me that safety was their top priority. It was a once in a lifetime experience with a trusted and experienced company.

5.00Flying with Sonoma Ballooning was hands down one of the highlights of our trip to Sonoma. The entire experience was smooth, professional, and truly unforgettable. Watching the sunrise over the vineyards from the balloon was absolutely breathtaking. Our pilot, Mateo, was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole flight feel safe and relaxed while sharing interesting information about the area during the ride. You could tell he’s very experienced and passionate about what he does. If you’re visiting Sonoma and looking for something unique to do, I highly recommend Sonoma Ballooning.
