5.00We had an absolutely unforgettable experience! Recently, my partner Mary and I, along with another couple—our good friends Wayne and Cristine—joined a wine tour led by the amazing Michelle. Michelle’s passion and deep knowledge about both wine and the Central Otago region made every stop fascinating, and her warmth kept the atmosphere fun and relaxed throughout. Our group visited several fantastic spots: Te Kano, Dicey, The Cork and Cap, The Brae, and Maude, each with its own unique vibe and story. The wines themselves were simply outstanding; even with our high expectations, every pour was a delight. A special highlight for us was at Te Kano, where Wayne (a former chef) actually swapped some of his homemade jerky with the team and tried some of their version—which, by the way, was amazing! The weather was picture-perfect and the incredible Otago scenery made everything even more enjoyable. A huge thanks also goes to the staff at every winery. Mary isn’t the biggest wine fan, but everyone went out of their way to offer alternatives and thoughtful recommendations. (I have to admit, I seized the chance to enjoy an extra glass or two myself!) If you’re searching for a lively, insightful, and truly memorable wine experience in Central Otago, this tour is an absolute must. Thank you, Michelle and everyone involved, for such a wonderful day shared with friends.

5.00The most perfect day. My husband and I booked this tour as part of our honeymoon trip and had the most amazing day, our favourite of the trip. Michelle was a fantastic tour guide. She has lived in the area for 20 years and was so knowledgable about wine and the different wineries. She took us to 5 beautiful wineries, even changing the last one she had planned based on what we were enjoying throughout the day. It was clear she has a good relationship with all of wineries and they were all fantastic, super friendly and happy to talk through the wines. Can’t recommend this tour enough, we stayed in Wanaka specifically for this and are so glad we did!
This was an awesome decision!

5.00We booked this tour last minute as we decided to stay for an additional day in Wanaka, and it couldn’t have been a better decision. Michelle, our lovely tour guide, was super cool (and friendly). We talked for most of the trip, both with her giving us the ins and outs of the area and its “wine facts” as well as just friendly rambling getting to know each other along the way. Michelle took us to 5 different wineries, where we got received by the different owners/employees, who were all also super friendly and spent quite a considerable time with us telling us about the location, the winery, and the wines we got served. Couldn’t recommend Michelle and her tours more, and as an additional bonus we got Michelle “to ourselves” as we were the only booked spots for that day (and she still took us!) Oh and the wine were great too!

5.00What a delightful tour! Michelle did an incredible job from the minute we met until the tour ended. We visited a variety of wineries from small to large. Every host we met had a unique story and perspective about producing some pretty awesome wine. We learned so much! It was one of the best tasting tours I’ve experienced.

5.00It wasn’t so much the wines that made the trip but the tour owner Michelle from Living The Dream Tours that made the day beyond sensational. Her local knowledge, willingness to change to tour to suit our preferences and the little side tour to show us where to have dinner on return made it a very special day we will always remember. Michelle made you feel like a friend visiting her. Hope she enjoyed her Darwin Stubby when she got home.

Michelle's knowledge of wines and the local region was impressive, and her personable and warm style made the day relaxed and fun. We laughed, learned and sipped our way through a fantastic day. Highly recommend!!!

Not only did we visit some unique wineries (both big and small), but there was a stopover for a delicious lunch with a very knowledgeable local winemaker, and we also got some great tidbits of info along the way from a very bubbly and cheerful Michelle. Overall, it was a great experience and certainly well worth it!

5.00Fabulous! From making the booking to the day of the tour, Michelle was easy to contact and communication was easy. The tour was amazing....great wineries, lovely wines, no rushing, beautiful scenery. Michelle is the lovliest person....you feel like you are out for a fun day with a friend who happens to be the designated driver. Michelle is full of information and obviously loves the area and the wines. Do this tour!!
This is a excellent tour and is the best way to visit some of the fabulous wineries of central Otago.

5.00Michelle is a great guide, very knowledgeable about the area. She is on time and is great at keeping in touch about pick up etc. we would definitely recommend this tour. One of our favourite experiences in NZ. (She is also an expert with a refractometer 🤣) We had a great small group and the wineries we visited were a really great showcase of the area.
