What To Expect
In this wine tasting, you will sample five distinct premium local wines (two whites, one rosé, two reds), all crafted from local varieties. We will properly explain the characteristics of the wines and the history of the wineries. It's like a little travel around Romania in the heart of Bucharest! What else? Water and a mixed plate of cheese and cuts of meat (cheese only for vegetarians) are also included!

5.00This was simply an amazing experience. I was the only one on this tour and it was one of the highlights of my Bucharest visit. I was generous quantities of wine and the charcuterie board. There was no rush and I was given enough time to really enjoy this experience! Thank you so much for being an amazing host, and also for the spicy jam! Highly recommend this tour!

5.00What a great find in old town Bucharest. We 1st came here for a pre drink before dinner and it was lovely, welcoming atmosphere and lovely glass of wine which was recommended to us. We then decided on going back for the 8 course wine tasting the following day and we were not disappointed. Such a lovely afternoon with great selection of Romanian wines and also some cheese and meats.. Highly recommended

5.00We really enjoyed this experience. Our host did an excellent job of explaining the wines and making us feel welcome. The bread, cheese, meats and chutney were excellent accompaniments. We enjoyed all of the wines but the two whites were some of the best we’ve ever had, we ended up taking a bottle of the second white home and they gave a 15% discount. Our only minor criticism would be the cheese selection. My girlfriend is vegetarian and one of the three cheese was Parmesan, which isn’t vegetarian, but she loved the other two. Thanks again for a great time.

5.00There are no words that can describe both the hospitality and value of this experience. The staff are very knowledgeable and so friendly. I never knew Romanian wines were so sensational; the food alike was beautiful. I highly recommend you stop here in Bucharest!

5.00I was given a warm welcome, then poured a lovely selection of Romanian wines from native grape varieties. It was a great introduction to varieties and regions I previously knew nothing about, but will certainly be looking for in the future! The tasting was two hours, although I'm sure I could have stayed for longer if I had wanted. I was encouraged to take my time trying the generous servings along with a nice selection of cheeses and meats. This is well worth booking if, like me, you love wine but are not familiar with Romanian wines.

5.00From experience I am aware that Eastern European wines can be of good quality so I was keen to sample some during a short break in Bucharest, Abel's did not disappoint. I opted for the 'classic' tasting experience for two people which was just right, it included 5 wines, water and a charcuterie board. Dario was an excellent host and provided an excellent explanation of the grape variety, region etc. I booked direct with Abel's which is easier (and maybe less expensive) than going via a third party agent.

5.00This was easily the nicest bar I visited in Bucharest. Not at all touristy. I was the only one doing a tasting but that didn't detract from the experience. Was given interesting explanations for each wine, then allowed time to enjoy them while nibbling the generous portion of cheeses and cold meats. If I was a local, I'd be a regular in this bar. Book this experience, it's a couple of hours well spent.
