What To Expect

Discover the finest grapes of Austria in the heart of Vienna during this exciting evening. From Grüner Veltliner to Blaufränkisch, you will taste a variety of exquisite wines. The tour begins with a wine that is as iconic to Vienna as St. Stephen's Cathedral. Delve into the history of this local wine before moving on to the next location. In a private wine cellar, we will savor an Austrian Riesling and discuss its unique qualities. At our third stop, indulge in another international variety of wine paired with delicious Austrian ham specialtie. A private wine tasting featuring Austria's renowned Grüner Veltliner from the Wachau Valley will follow, complete with traditional Austrian spreads and bread. To conclude the evening, we will enjoy a glass of Burgenland red wine while discussing the intricacies of this wine region. All wine and food tastings are included in the price, so come thirsty!

Lucas did an AMAZING job with this tour. It ended up being just my wife and I with Lucas, yet he still did the tour (we have had tours cancelled at the last minute in the past when not enough people signed up). We went to four places and tried a nice variety of Austrian wines (mostly whites with one red at the end). At two of the stops we had a delicious snack to go with the wine. I will note the walking was not bad at all! Flat streets with a fairly short distance between stops. There will be some steps as you go into wine cellars. The tour was great and I would highly recommend it.

The tour was very enjoyable. Lucas was very knowledgeable and the wines chosen to present were lovely. The pace of the tour was well timed and the chosen venues were all special in their own way. Would recommend to others. Thanks Lucas.

We enjoyed going to several different establishments and hearing about and tasting the wines. The tour guide, Lucas was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed getting to know him.

This was an active and unique way to see Vienna. Harry was an exceptional guide. Our first stop was to a quaint wine shop. The owner met with us and explained his Viennese inventory while we enjoyed a tasting. We walked across the first district enjoying its Christmas decorations and markets. For our second stop, we went to a bar known for its air-dried hams (and its wines). Harry has a “secret” third stop that is a remarkable historical watering hole. And finally, we enjoyed a bottle with locals north of the city center. This tour will keep you walking (and tasting) with plenty of time for dinner afterward. A great experience.

Harry was an absolutely wonderful guide. He took us to little known places in Vienna and we were able to learn more about the city, the culture, and the incredible wine. He truly made us feel at home. I could not be more appreciative for this experience.

A very nice evening with a walk through the city center of Vienna, very good wines and information about grape varieties etc. Also highly recommended for Viennese / Viennese residents :)
