It’s time to go back to the 1940s. Big Ben no longer sounds. Air raid sirens are the norm. German bombing raids come under cover of darkness. The population lives with rations and restrictions. Many Brits lay down their lives in Europe and beyond.
With your local expert guide, you will keep calm and carry on, learning about the British resolve and getting the inside scoop on the truth behind Westminster in wartime on this walking tour past our most important monuments- Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, the Cenotaph, Ministry of War, 10 Downing Street and Whitehall.
The Tour will end outside Churchill’s War Rooms, the strategic war room bunkers from where Winston Churchill and cabinet were to conduct their part of WW2- frozen in time and ready to be discovered once again.

Richard, our guide, was very knowledgeable about London history and entertaining. In the war rooms we had head sets to take us through and could spend as much time as we wished. Learned a lot!

Nathan was beyond amazing. He brought the subject matter of London and the blitz relating people and families and lives in a real kind of way. He made excellent comparisons to the life and times at pre-World War II and how are world situated today. Understanding and remembering history is such an important task that future generations need to learn. I am a professional tour guide and I lead to her throughout the world and I will have to say he has to be amongst the best I have ever had. What a privilege it was getting to spend the very short time we had together. I only wished it could have been longer.

Walk is not strenuous. Our guide Nathan was knowledgeable and brought the history to life with stories about the Battle of Britain. Allow enough time for touring Churchill’s bunker at the end. It allows you to feel his monumental impact on GB and the world at that time.

Francis was SO knowledgeable and easy to understand. The info and trivia he shared was so interesting. My husband and I agreed that we should have taken notes so we could share all the info with friends. Not too much walking
