A great alternative to a ghost walk, this tour focuses on FUN over frights. A truly magical and memorable experience that Harry Potter fans will go Potty for (but no knowledge of the wizarding world required!)

Meet at the bottom of York's Shambles by the railings of St. Crux Church, look for The Wizard Walk sign!
Whip-Ma-Whop-Ma-Gate
York's shortest street (with the longest name!), and a wonderfully whimsical place to set the scene for our enchanting walk around this spellbinding city!

5.00A truly magical journey through the beautiful streets of York with a brilliant wizard as your guide. Laughs, wonder and pure escapism from start to finish, with witty jokes and humour keeping the adults chuckling throughout too. The smiles on the kids’ faces said it all, they witnessed real magic, joy and imagination every step of the way. Both Wizards are an absolute credit to York and to the world of entertainment. If you’re in York and have little wizards or witches of your own, this is an absolute must! Thank you from the whole family, and keep up the incredible work!

5.00My daughter and I really enjoyed the Wizard Walk of York. Phoenix the Wizard took us on a delightful tour from The Shambles to York Minster, keeping everyone entertained the whole way. He’s incredibly witty and plays brilliantly with words, which made the experience even more fun for both kids and adults. The mix of jokes, storytelling, and clever magic tricks kept everyone engaged from start to finish. The kids absolutely loved it, and honestly, so did the parents! It’s a fantastic way to explore York while having a lot of fun. Highly recommended for families visiting the city ✨

5.00I took my granddaughters (ages 4 and 7) on the Wizard Walk recently because the eldest is a huge Harry Potter fan. I was a bit worried about whether the 4-year-old would manage the distance, but I needn't have been! The walk is not strenuous at all; there are plenty of stops, making it perfect for both the young and the old. The Wizard was incredibly funny and kept all ages entertained—the adults enjoyed the humour just as much as the children. I’m originally from York, but the Wizard pointed out so many things I had never noticed before. It was a lovely day out and great value for money. Highly recommended for families!

5.00Took my 8 year old and her 7 year old friend and mum. Absolutely loved it. My daughter said it was the best thing ever and she would give it 10stars! So funny, fast paced and kept everyone entertained.

5.00Wonderful! My little boy and I loved it... Perhaps me more than him. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and I'm educating him in the wizarding world bit by bit. It was very fun and the guide was excellent with the kids. Very fun, thoroughly recommend.

5.00A fun way to spend an hour or 2 walking around York. Had the kids engaged and happy throughout, made lots of effort to ensure all children were involved when some children are naturally louder or quieter in a large group. Lots of fun!

5.003 adults and 2 children (3 & 8) - wasn’t sure what to expect but wow was great from start to finish, kids loved it and our 3 year old not stopped talking about it. Very interactive, light hearted and a great way to spend 90 mins in York - would 1000% do it again.
