While the title of the tour was misleading (that’s on Arena Tours / Viator) and we were expecting to go into the Colosseum, Radu’s tour of the Forum was a highlight of our trip and you should try to book onto one of his tours.

We knew it did not contain any entrance fees - but it was juts a walk up a road , not really with any viewing of sights from the outside. There was a ticket glitch on the day that may have affected it so maybe they did their best on the day - otherwise a waste of money.

“Wonders of the Coliseum Visit”, Lying, Arena tour do not bother to reply to my comment as it is useless since we all think the same and nothing changes. Certainly there is written outside experience in Rome, but why? A city tour of one hour including already 20 minutes to take tickets from the Coliseum during the time of the visit and on the Coliseum ticket there is a schedule to respect so good. We did not take a wonderful tour of the Colosseum as indicated in the title but that neni, we took a tour of the city with some explanations of Rome and its history but anyone with a little culture knows the basics. For 25€ per person ridiculously expensive. Ciao👋

Poor instructions, and write up of what was included. Ridiculous pricing for a guided tour outside the coliseum. Arrived and bought a ticket to get inside instead. Imagine buying what is free to do instead.

You should know exactly that you do not do a Colosseum tour although it gives the impression when buying the tickets. The tour goes through the Roman Forum! This was not clear. We then stopped the tour!

Worst tour ever, the guide did speak english but he seems to forget that he have to actually learn things about what he speaks about. He wasn't allowed inside the place so we toured around, in the streets, listening to him rant against traffic and occasionnaly say (wrong) things about the city between two angry phonecalls.

We have booked a 2-hour tour for the Colosseum in advance for €29 per person, assuming that admission is included and so we can avoid queues. On site, however, we were informed that admission is not included in the price and we have to pay an additional 18 € per person. This meant that we had to queue again to buy tickets despite pre-booking. Even more disappointingly, it turned out afterwards that the tour does not lead into the Colosseum at all, but only takes place from the outside. This was not clear from the booking description. Additionally, we learned that there would have been cheaper admission options (e.g. €5 only for the Colosseum or €18 including the Roman Forum and Palatine), which makes the pricing of the tour even more questionable. Positively noteworthy is our guide Marco, who did his job very well and made the tour interesting. Nevertheless, overall we did not receive what we expected or booked. Conclusion: Be sure to read the fine print carefully. The tour was okay in terms of content, but the value for money and transparency leave something to be desired.

I would strongly advise against booking this trip. You’re far better off queuing for tickets yourself and using Google to understand what you’re seeing. The experience was poor from start to finish. Initially, we met a staff member at the meeting point holding a sign—he was friendly and brought us to the rest of the group and briefly explained what would happen next. However, the guide himself seemed completely disinterested. He didn’t introduce himself or greet the group; we were simply told to follow him. He led us to the ticket office and even attempted to skip the line, which another guide had to step in and stop. We then queued for 1 hour and 15 minutes, and during that entire time, the guide gave no explanation of what was happening. While I understood we needed tickets, nowhere in the booking process was it made clear how long the wait would be. After finally getting our tickets, my friend and I couldn’t even find the guide anymore. We ended up having to join the line for the Forum on our own. In the end, all got for our money was being walked to the ticket office. To make matters worse, I emailed the company nearly a week ago and have yet to receive any response. Very disappointing experience overall.

This was a disappointment. Our guide, i fekt, did a half baked job and did not even come with us in the roman forum and colosseum. Instead, he walked us around near the Colosseum and pointed out stuff but only went as far as the entrance of the Roman Forum and pointed iut some stuff in the distance left saying he has to go to work.
