LIMITED MOBILITY Ancient Rome area and Vatican Museums visits involve SIGNIFICANT WALKING. At the colosseum, the elevator is at disposal for this purpose. The Roman Forum and Palatine surfaces are uneven, but a considerable portion of the area has wheelchair paths. Please note that the pathway from the Sistine Chapel to St Peter’s Basilica has 50 steps downwards and is not wheelchair accessible. The tour can continue to the Basilica only if all members of your private group can walk down the stairs, but, for safety reasons, it is not possible to carry wheelchairs and walkers down the stairs. If your private group includes participants with reduced mobility, we can still bring you to the Basilica, going back to the Museum's entrance and reaching it from the outside with the car. Although there is a dedicated pathway for wheelchairs, please be aware that there may be a queue to enter the Basilica. Also, note that other participants in your group will have to take charge of pushing the wheelchair.
VATICAN IS CLOSED ON SUNDAYS (and religious holidays). Due to the Wow Tour's high request, we designed a Sunday experience when the Vatican is closed. With your guide, and your driver you will explore St. Peter's Square, Castel Sant' Angelo area and other marvelous sites like the Aventine hill; from its top, you enjoy spectacular views over the city. As an alternative we will prospose other museums or arcaeological sites!
STROLLERS: We suggest avoiding strollers and using a baby sling instead. Like wheelchairs and walkers, strollers are not allowed in the passage from the Sistine Chape directly to the Basilica ( 50 steps downward and 50 upwards). Your private tour will end without the Basilica visit. The options with the car at your disposal ( All_Inclusive and Shore Excursion), help us organize the Basilica visit, reaching it by car. Our guide, Laura, was wonderful. She tried to show us everything we wanted to see, and more! She was kind, and took great care of my friend and I. We even rented a wheelchair and she pushed it for us, which was incredibly kind. The tour was everything and more!

We booked the full day tour for five adults. Let's start with the good - Our tour guide Andy was great. He was knowledgeable and gave us just the right amount of history. He was interesting and personable, and he was able to answer our questions. We skipped the lines and saw the major sites in one day. The negative was the car and driver. This tour company uses a third party to provide its cars and drivers. It was almost 100F the day of our tour, and the air conditioning barely worked in the car. Andy, our guide, was very apologetic and switched seats so that he sat in the back while one of us sat in the front where the ac worked. We get it - things happen. The driver, however, seemed unconcerned and made no effort to make us more comfortable. She could have at least have gotten cold water or some ice for us. The driver also seemed inexperienced, even though our guide said he had worked with her before. The company offered us an airport transfer as recompense, but we had already scheduled and paid for our transfers with another company. To sum it up - this tour is really expensive for what it is. It did, however, meet our needs, which were to see Rome in one day and not wait in line. The fact that we were very hot almost the entire time (as most of the sites are not air conditioned and the vehicle provided no respite) made the $2,500 price tag harder to swallow. We have been struggling with how many stars to award the tour - but it was not a 5 star day. We did five different private tours during our 10 days in Italy and Greece, and this was the only one that fell short. I would recommend to a friend that they price shop the experience early and consider other providers before booking.

This tour absolutely lives up to its name — WOW! From start to finish, we were in awe at every turn. Francesca, our guide, was a wealth of knowledge and brought every location to life with her insight, stories, and patience. She’s truly an expert on all things Rome and made even the most crowded spots feel personal and meaningful. Our driver, Raymon, was fantastic — always exactly where we needed him to be, ready to pick us up and get us smoothly from one incredible stop to the next. The tour operator also deserves a huge thank you for securing our entry into St. Peter’s Basilica, which was an unforgettable highlight. We were amazed at how much we experienced in just 8 hours — from the Coliseum to the Vatican, to the beautiful Roman squares — all while riding in comfort and enjoying a lovely lunch. We would absolutely book another tour with this operator and highly recommend it to anyone wanting a true VIP experience of Rome! 👏🇮🇹
