What To Expect
Bid farewell to the setting sun with a 1 ½ hour Sunset Cruise of Wrightsville Beach and surrounding islands. The evening sunset tour is one of the best times to view bottlenose dolphins. Relax and have drinks with friends and family while making memories that will last a lifetime . Shamrock is a spacious , cruising vessel designed for fun. Water, marsh, Shamrock, sunset – it’s a simple combination but very satisfying.

5.00This was a great experience! With just enough information from the Capt. to learn more about the inland waterway, while listening to music and drinkingthe cocktails we brought on board. We took lots of pictures because the sunset was perfect! I highly recommend it!

1.00This was our third sunset boat tour this week along the Carolina coast. Sadly it was our least favorite. The boat showed up late despite sending communication earlier in the day confirming that we be on time. Once we got on board we sat in plastic chairs that felt unstable and flimsy. The tour is called “sunset tour” and yet, the route we took was along the west side of the point and the only sites we saw were houses and boats. Seriously? You are in this gorgeous environment and you think we want a tour about houses and yachts? I’m no thank you. To top it off a family seated in the back allowed their young son to come up and stand next to us in the front. I have nothing against an excited child wanting to see the sites, but this kid stood facing the inside of the boat making non stop obnoxious noises and LOUD outbursts. The entire ride felt like torture. The captain could have easily asked that the child go back and sit with his family but no. It was clear this kid was annoying all of the other guests - and both the guide and captain ignored it. Because of his noise and the obnoxious music they blasted, we couldn’t hear the tour guides facts she shared - although most of it just seemed to be about the cost of houses and boats and some expensive restaurant membership controversy. This was a complete waste of time and money. We we’re counting the minutes for it to end.

3.00My mother, her husband, and teen that lives with them( all from Statesvill NC) my youngest son, grandson, and myself( all from Elmira NY) came over for a few days get away. It is early April so the weather was kind of coo), but my grandson still swam and LOVED it! Most of the attractions were unavailable due to the time of year, but we enjoyed walking on the beach.

5.00We did the Sunset tour but unfortunately the weather did not cooperate (cloudy) so we did not see a beautiful sunset. We also did not see any dolphins but the tour operators were very knowledgeable about the area and made the trip fun! There are really some very beautiful homes/mansions along the waterways. If ever back in this area, would try again!!

5.00Bring your our beverages! A small cooler is allowed stocked with anything you want. Parking is a challenge. Do not park in the boat trailer lot. There is a small parking lot to the left of the boat launch that charges between 7am and 7pm about $5 per hour. The captain said there was a bathroom on the raft, but I did not see where it could exist. The raft's seating were generic plastic lawn chairs... comfortable for the 90 minute ride. The wind messes with lady's hair so have a way to manage that. The temperature drops when the sun goes down.

1.00My trip was canceled do to inclement weather (cold). So, I actually cannot give you a rating. Myself and my wife was looking forward to this. Maybe next time.
