  This was a great day. The tour operator communicated well regarding our pick up location and time. The drive to the park was very good, it was an excellent way to see the local scenery. The roads in the park are rough, so expect to be jostled around. Ishan was very diligent at trying to find the animals for us. Unfortunately we didn't see any leopards, but we did see elephants (including a baby), lots of birds, water buffalo and beautiful scenery. Ishan was very cognizant of the time we needed to be back for the ship and he had us back in lots of time, without cutting anything short. All in all, a really fun day! Highly recommend 😊

• Great tour of Yala with elephant sightings.

  Awesome experience in Yala. So nice to see all of the wildlife from the comfortable jeep. The guide was great at scouting out the wildlife. Saw 6 elephants!

• Great alternative to shore excursion.

  An alternative to a very expensive cruise shore excursion. Not guaranteed to see a leopard but pretty sure to see elephants. There was no binoculars as said in the ad. Only a driver so no guide to be on the lookout. No radio between drivers to inform others of sightings. We were relieved to see 1 elephant-but other groups saw a herd of 12 elephants at a waterhole & 2 leopards!! We felt disappointed after that. Apparently Viator will guarantee getting you back to the ship which is a great consideration. We felt it could have been better though with forms of communication between drivers. Also a way to talk to the group as we were in the truck bed and driver in the cab. Had to bang on window to get his attention.

• Thoroughly enjoyable jeep safari to Yala

  This was an excellent trip. Pick up from port was earlier than programmed so no hanging around and on the road 30 mins early. There were six guests in a jeep with a roof covering so we had shade throughout. Each guest received a large bottle of water, a breakfast box and a bottle of cola during the trip. The driver Bodie was also our guide and he was friendly and knowledgeable. He was in constant contact with his colleagues once inside the park so could take us to where there were sightings. His knowledge and patience meant we had plenty of sightings. Multiple elephants, macaques, water buffalo, Bambi (as he referred to them), crocodile, antelope, mongoose, pelican, stork, heron, eagles, egrets and multiple other birds that he could identify. We did spot a leopard and got a photo but it was hiding in a bush but as we were on a late tour (from the port) we hadn’t expected to see one so it was a bonus. Would highly recommend

  We had a great safari. We got to see elephants, water buffalo, spotted deer, crocodiles and other wildlife. They provided us a bottle of water, coke and a snack at the start of the trip. Overall, a great experience.
