Trip was great but the driver was cruel

3.00I would be happy with the trip if not for the driver Amila, who was supposed to provide us with transport from Tangalle to Yala before visiting the park and then from Yala to Ella. The driver picked us up at night and during the trip hit a puppy (I only heard one long whine and felt the hit...) in the middle of the road and then drove on. Due to his lack of knowledge of English he did not understand my comments. While driving he didn't care at all about the stray dogs present on the road despite their large number in Sri Lanka. I believe that such a person should not be responsible for transport as part of a trip related to an animal reserve, as he represents total lack of empathy and humanity. I was outraged and saddened by his bestial behavior. I understand that the problem of stray dogs in Sri Lanka is huge but it doesn’t justify murder. The trip itself was okay, I missed information from the guide about the animals we encountered. There was also a problem with the language barrier and communication in English. But we succeeded in seeing a lot of animals,.we drove safely and all the tour points listed in the offer were true to life.
