it takes about 1 hour from Sendai to Yamadera by local train and it takes 15 minutes from Yamadera station to Yamadera temple on foot

You have to pay entrance fee of yamadera 300 yen and your train ticket if you don't have JR pass or Suica (1720 for a round trip per person)

You have to climb more than 1000 stairs to the top of Yamadera
