Because of the variety of beautiful plants and colorful flowers that flourish in the park, some people regard Yangmingshan National Park as the “backyard of Taipei”. Due to its tropical climate, Yangmingshan is an ideal location for plants and animals to grow.

Yangming Shan National Park is noted for its temperate climate. When it's baking hot in Taipei, it's cool on Yangming Shan. The floral clock is a point of pride for the locals, it's scenic highpoint for the Yangming Shan tour.. The thermal springs are a well-known feature of the region, dating back to the Japanese era (1895-1945). The pools have a reviving quality. and are a gentle way to relax.
