Firstly, at 6 PM from our meeting point, we will have a chance to walk to the small street of food stalls, you’ll explore many different kinds of food from our handpicked locations. Continue the trip, and we’ll taste the Samosa salad, an appetizer that will be hard to forget, one of the most highly recommended street foods in Myanmar available in two different forms – soup or dry. Then we will head to a popular local tea house shop where you can enjoy one of the best noodle dishes with a cup of Myanmar tea. You’ll see how the locals spend their time in the tea house shops. And then we will take a break on the flyover to enjoy the view of downtown Yangon and give you a chance to take some pictures and let the food digest. Next stop is big Burmese curries where you will try black bean sauce meat and famous Burmese salads and vegetable dishes. Finally the tour will end with a sweet dessert at around 8:30 PM. You will experience at least 10 different types of food and snacks and we hope you will have the perfect Burmese dinner cuisine. We can’t wait for you to start your food tour journey with Yangon Food Tours.

What a wonderful way to see Yangon by night. Our guide Swan was wonderful. This is her neighbourhood and knows it well! We went through the market place, city square and laneways. There was plenty variety of food from street stalls to restaurants. Thoroughly enjoyed our night.

I had a deliciously good time on this tour! My guide Barbara seemed to know all the secrets for finding the good stuff in restaurants, markets, and street eateries. I enjoyed delicious foods I never would have encountered without Barbara’s expertise and familiarity with the local scene. Plus, Barbara even helped me practice counting in Burmese. She made the whole thing as easy as tit-hnit-thone!

Food tours are a great way to learn about the people and their culture. Swan was our guide and he was simply awesome, a super nice guy. We were a bit worried about tummy distress with salads and ice and such, but Swan took us only to places that were safe. The food was local, varied and very good. We felt badly that we couldn’t eat it all and he suggested wrapping it up and giving it to those who were hungry on the street which was very kind.

Barbara gave an excellent food tour! We ate so much and loved the experience of walking through the streets stalls and restaurants with a local guide. It was so great we went to the same stalls the next night.

Wow! We really liked the tour. We can highly recommend the sympathetic Hsu Yee with her very good German. She introduced us to the variety of street food dishes and told us about Yangon's customs. Bring a lot of hunger. It is worth it!🌸

This was a great tour. I should not have eaten lunch because there was so much food on this tour. Was a little disappointed that I was on the tour by myself but the guide made me feel special. She told me information on Myanmar and also talked about the food. If you want to taste some of the local delights then join this tour.

Very grateful to our charming guide Barbara for the stunningly organized food tour. We tried local food that we would not have guessed to try. And we were also able to ask questions about the culture of Myanmar that interest us.

On my first night in Yangon, because I love food, I wanted to do a food tour at night. My host was Barbara and she was just amazing. She was very knowledgeable and gave me plenty of different dishes to try out. Between each course, she would give fast facts about Yangon's history and the history of its people. I was way too full by the end of the tour. The tour is about 2-3 hours so it's plenty of time if you're trying to get an activity in. I definitely would recommend Barbara as a great tour guide.
