What To Expect
Moon Hill
The Ruyi Peak, this is new spot is spectacular for the ropeway(3km away from Moon hill and on the way to the Silver Cave). With a total length of 2.3km, Ruyi Peak Ropeway adopts advanced equipment from POMA Company of France, using 8-passenger detachable mono-cable gondola lift, with elevation difference of 242m, horizontal distance of 1800m, and single way capacity of 2000Ppl/hr. Along the various mountain bodies of the ropeway in the scenic area, construction projects are built, including glass-bottomed skywalk, love-ring bridge, mountain crafting mirror, cliff dwellings, and other beautiful landscapes, where visitors can stroll along with leisure and fully experience the fun when traveling through the mountains. It is such an enjoyable ropeway experience, tourists just sit on the sightseeing ropeway and enjoy fully the beautiful scenery and landscapes of Guilin's Ten-mile Gallery of the four seasons, as if touring in a magic world.

5.00Self guided experience, but it was super convenient to have pre-booked transportation and have someone else buy the tickets for us. If we were going to do this again, we would probably just use Didi and buy tickets directly.

5.00Booked with the transportation for 5 people for this tour, so they picked us up in a private minivan at 10am and brought us there (took only 30 minutes) and driver waited for us in parking lot to transport us back to hotel. We visited all the attractions on this Ruyi Peak and finished by 2pm. Did not see much taxi there so this was best option for our group. Good workout with the stairs on the mountain. There's toilets and plenty rest stops selling tea/coffee/drinks on the mountain.

5.00We came across this place mainly because the moon hill had the entrance closed, being on a scooter we noticed the signs of the cable way and followed them. We purchased tickets directly at the box office next to the gondola departure. The prices are very high compared to other cable cars I got in China, in four people (2 children) we spent about 80 euros. At the time we thought we were wrong to go there but as soon as we took the cable car started to climb we realized it was a great place. Very few people, well kept and from above the view is exceptional. The route is long enough, to make the full tour it takes more than two hours. There is a very high suspension bridge, several viewpoints, a glass bridge, and a walk on glass sheets at the edge of the mountain. There are refreshment pubs and bathrooms. Everything kept in very good condition. Some cable cars also have glass flooring, really a plus! I absolutely recommend visiting this place.

5.00Beautiful ride with the cable car, quite style but cool trip. Upstairs nicely set up with the suspension bridges. At the very top magnificent views. On the way there you can buy drinks and ice cream etc. Put on a hat or cap because of heat. Then you can walk over a glass / transparent bridge on the side of a mountain. Definitely recommended. It's not scary! Overall great experience.

5.00Very worthwhile trip. I was a bit apprehensive but the quality of the set up and construction of the ropeway, cable car, glass bridge and path were excellent. Very well made and operated. Gorgeous views of the mountains.

5.00It was really great trip. There are breathtaking views from the cable car and from the viewpoints, of which there are several on the route. Crossing the wooden swing bridge is a bit of a challenge. But the biggest challenge is the glass bridges, of which there are two on the route. The cable car is comfortable, the route is long enough to really enjoy it. We spent about 5 hours here. It was a truly breathtaking experience.

5.00The daily goal was not planned, but due to a book of photographs kept in the hotel room, we became aware of this. We can recommend this destination for a day trip with great views during the tour. As a special treat it turned out that in November and for us *oldies* per person only 110 yuan had to be paid for the day ticket; for the rides with the cable car and the overall terrain use we consider this to be a very cheap entrance fee.

5.00**Note: We did not purchase our advanced tickets through this tour group - I am posting here because there is no other attraction listing for Ruyi Peak, which is relatively new.** **Warning: I would NOT recommend this attraction for people with a fear of heights. The attraction is all about walking on high areas between and along peaks with suspension bridges, glass and metal mesh walkways, and precipitous views!** This attraction is a series of ways to get across and between a few of the peaks in the limestone karst mountain range near Yangshuo. It is relatively new, so not all that crowded, with amazing views of the surrounding mountain range. I would leave at least a half day to see all of the attraction, wear good shoes, and be prepared to walk a LOT of steps up and down and across! We came with a private tour guide and driver, who drove us from our Yangshuo hotel. The attraction starts with a spectacular cable car ride (each car seats 4-6 people) up among the peaks to the starting area. Enjoy the views while sitting! When you exit, you walk up many steps towards a suspension bridge between two peaks - the red ribbons tied along the bridge for luck are lovely as they dance in the wind. From there, you climb up many steps to a platform with a 360-degree view of the surrounding area. From there, climb down many steps to a winding mesh/glass walkway through the tree canopy among the peaks. From there, walk down a ramp (with some fun figures of rabbits and pumpkins - they may have been for the Mid-Autumn Festival) and head towards a glass walkway along one of the karst mountains. From there, you walk back up steps to the gondola station. Along the way there are several shaded and comfortable places to sit and have a snack and a nice drink or ice cream - helpful in the heat and humidity! Anytime you will be walking on glass, they give you little booties to put over your shoes that you remove at the end of that part of the attraction. Overall, I would recommend this for families and couples who are healthy and able to walk a lot of stairs comfortably in the heat and humidity. It was fun and well-planned with amazing views which we enjoyed!
A must Visit Location in Guilin/Yangshuo.

5.00Awesome!!! We took a Didi out there (USD8 each way) Our hotel (The Bamboo Leaf Hotel - Highly Recommended) organised tickets (USD30 ea for Adults). Fantastic views (away from a lot of buildings and man made structures)
