  This was a very large group tour. Our bus had 40 people, but there was a second bus too. Our leader Sophie was very organized (and funny) , so it didn't seem too bad, pre-ordering some snacks and lanterns for us so we didn't have to stand in line and waste valuable time at each stop. I booked this tour mostly to see Yehliu. Unfortunately it started raining and the wind was so strong I only saw 2 formations before I was totally soaked (despite a raincoat and umbrella) and had to give up. Vendors sell nice "disposable" raincoats at this stop for 100 NTD, which have zippers and a nice hood, definitely good for more than one day. They met the bus, so it was very convenient. I bought extra to take home. Shifen was a fun stop, painting a large paper lantern with my wishes, and also had a small shopping area. Prices were good for souvenirs here. Definitely get the stuffed chicken wing and peanut roll ice cream here. We also saw the waterfall in Shifen, which was just a short drive away. Our stop in Jiufen was way too crowded to enjoy. I was there on a Friday, and our guide said that Korean tourists come every Friday, Sat. and Sunday to shop there. If you want to go on this tour, avoid those days. If I had known, I could easily have gone on Thursday and maybe had a better time. Many of the shops here have samples of the food products and tea. Few places to sit so you really need to be able to stand/walk most of the 2 hour stop. Be aware there are a lot of steps on this big bus tour. There is a total of 4 hours driving time too, so it is a long day. This is not a tour for those who can't easily walk and do steps. Bring extra money for the food, lanterns, and admission to Yehliu.

  Well organized tour with interesting locations, but feels a bit rushed, specially the Geopark in Yehliu, i wish we had had more time there, overall i think they could add an extra hour to the tour to give more time to enjoy the locations. Sofi the tour guide was good.

  Great trip, definitely would recommend doing. Get to see a lot of things in a short period of time. The small issue was that there was not enough time at each location, so sometimes it felt a little rushed to get through, but it was fine because we were trying to fit as much in as we could. On the bus, before you go to light the lantern, the guide will ask if you want to pay for food or ice cream beforehand. I would recommend declining the option from the tour, and just buying it on your own from a local vendor. It was cheaper to buy it from a local vendor than Paying our guide to order for us. I would recommend looking it because you get to see a lot of hotspots, but beware and prepare for kind of a rushed day at each spot. Not enough time to relax and explore, but just enough time to go, see everything, take some pictures, and head out.

  Great tour, weather was not so good but still had a great time! The best is last for sure! And Carol is the best tour guide ever!
