Our guide was funny, warm, and great with logistics, but the tour felt more focused on practical instructions and recommendations on what to buy rather than sharing information about the places themselves. As a result, it felt more like a group chauffeur service than a guided tour, and I didn’t come away having learned much about the areas we visited. The itinerary did make it convenient to see several places in a short time, and the timings were well-balanced—I didn’t feel like I needed longer at any of the stops. Taiwan’s landscapes are beautiful, but personally I didn’t rate Shifen Old Street or Jiufen; both were extremely crowded and quite commercialised, with many similar stalls. I’d read this beforehand but wanted to see it for myself. Next time, I’d choose a tour focused purely on Taiwan’s gorgeous nature rather than the more commercial spots. Still, this tour was an efficient way to tick off a few well-known sights in one day.

Dillian was our tour guide and she was fantastic. Full of life and energy. Made the tour so much more enjoyable. Never a dull moment with her. She gave us lots of great recommendations which I really appreciate. Visited three places and had enough time to explore which place, never felt rush. Would definitely recommend this tour with Router if you want to visit these places hassle-free.

The tour itself was good- places are interesting- one stop of 2 hours was too long and then took 2 hours to get back to the city. Main issue for us was Tommy the tour guide who was knowledgeable however had missed the fact we were on a holiday trip not a military exercise- he shouted at people to stop talking, repeated everything 3 times and made you co firm it. Said if more than 5 minutes late would leave us behind. I get managing 42 people is tricky but there is a way to go about it and this wasn’t it. He expects you to go I. Line and buy the tickets for the attractions prior to the tour but it doesn’t say that anywhere. I would say do the tour but check who the guide is first!

The schedule for each place is pretty tight and therefore group cooperation is important to ensure the smooth running of the program. These places have great views and it's really worth the visit. Our tour guide Tony is a great one to work with,. he is really considerate, efficient, and helpful.

Be prepared for the unexpected weather. Pack a small umbrella and/or poncho. The weather definitely made things harder to enjoy, but that wasn’t anyone’s particular fault. Our guide, KC, did his best despite the circumstances.
