What To Expect
YehLiu Geopark
Visit the natural classroom Yehliu Geopark, which shows bizarre terrain formed by thousands of years of geological movement that force the mountain jutting out of the ocean.
Shifen Waterfall
Walk for an hour to discover the broadest waterfall in Taiwan, recessed within a beautiful forested mountainside setting, 20 metres (66 ft) in height and 40 metres (130 ft) in width. On a sunny day, there is a possibility of catching the view of a rainbow by the waterfall.

5.00We had a great experience with James as he took us to all the amazing places on the private tour. He explained all the geopark rock formations, the history of Juifen and Shifen, the different foods, cultures, and information about the areas. He took pictures of us as a family, gave us details of the different street food, and helped us order. Highly recommend.

5.00Barry was our guide for a special day in Taiwan. He met us at the cruise terminal in Keelung and took us to all the places on our wishlist. We started at Yehliu geological park. An unforgettable experience! The rock formations are spectacular and Barry made sure we saw everything while making sure we were looked after on a very hot day. We left there and headed out to Jiufen - another memorable site. He took us to a charming tea shop that we accessed through an old mining tunnel opening up to a fantastic sea view. Barry helped us find the food experiences we were looking for. Since it was so very hot he took us to Golden Waterfall instead of Shifen waterfall. We then proceeded to Shifen for a balloon release experience. It was a delight! Exploring the charming Shifen rounded out the day. We were back to our ship in plenty of time!

5.00On a trip to Taipei we wanted to explore a bit further afield so we booked a private guide to take us outside Taipei for the day. George, our guide for the day was phenomenal; a Taiwanese local, very knowledgeable and a great communicator. He picked us up from our hotel and took us through the countryside to our first destination, Yehliu Geo Park for some rock formations. At lunchtime, George was able to get a reservation at a local seafood restaurant which had a long line due to the holiday weekend. He arranged for us to skip the line. The restaurant served delicious Chinese seafood including some incredible crab and a window view. From there we travelled to the spectacular locations of Shifen waterfall and Shifen Village where we released a good luck lantern. Our final location was beautiful Jiufen Village. I can’t recommend this tour with George more highly if you have limited time in Taipei and want to see more than just the city.
All we expected and more! Wonderful tour!

5.00We had a terrific day with our very friendly and knowlegable guide. Joanna Lin was great. She even provided us with umbrellas when it started to rain. Fortunately, most of the time we could enjoy good weather. The tour was all we expected an more. We especially enjoyed shopping in Jiufen and starting a sky lantern in Shimen. Joanna Lin made sure, we got perfect photos with all family members. Thank you for a wonderful and exciting day!

5.00Excellent and Avery interesting geopark . The scenery is amazing and unique. We could have not asked for a better guide: Jimmy is simply THE BEST. His English command, demeanor and knowledge made the most memorable day for us. He spent 8+ hours providing us historical context of all the amazing places he took us to visit. Jifen, Shifen, Yeihu geo park, the amazing waterfalls, the very meaningful experience writing our wishes in the lantern and releasing it to the sky… It was a fantastic day! Thank you Jimmy!!

5.00I choose a small group tour with my friends. Three attractions we went are a way better than we expected. Guide Jerry 568 is excellent to show us all the main spots of attraction and shared Taiwan’s histories while he was driving to the next point.
