Fabulously Scary History Lesson

4.00What a fun and slightly scary way to start a Saturday morning! Easy to book, no queue so straight in. Led room by room into different parts of York’s history, with great props and special effects. Huge thank you to the characters portrayed in each of the rooms, they were fabulously scary, entertaining and put 100% into their performances!! Stand out performances go to the person in the Plague room, in the Torture chambers and the Witch (although I had my eyes closed for most of the latter 🫣). After an excellent experience it came to a sudden end with no warning we were straight into the gift shop and back outside. Would definitely recommend!

5.00Visited on Friday as in York for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. So glad we booked this,used BLC for a discount too. The actors were brilliant! So funny and entertaining,you didn’t know what was going to happen next. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in York! Thanks for a great experience!

5.00Having done the daytime dungeon in the past we decided to do the adults only… it was great. No sniffling little kids & more innuendos from the actors. We still laughed & screamed a bit too. Brilliant fun.

5.00This was a hoot from start to finish and an hour+ well spent during our short visit to York. Hilarious, gory and unpredictable - you never knew what would happen next or which peasant (us) would be the next 'victim'. My only concern was that the passages were very dark and, if you are a bit unsteady on your feet, then you might find them difficult to navigate. Maybe carrying a small torch might help.

5.0075 minutes of fantastic fun.Don't want to give too much away, but every member of staff gave it their all. It really was brilliant. My wife and I both agree it was a highlight in our two day stay in York. Thank you so much.

5.00Great scare, wouldnt take young children. Plenty of jumpy moments. Actors are really good at making it spooky whilst sharing York histories. Don't worry they dont touch you but be ready to be plunged into the darkness a few times. Highly recommended

5.00We visited York Dungeon as part of a works do. 2 hair salons, 18 hairdressers and my God did they deliver. It was Horriblely great. We booked to have it all to outselfs and the price for this was amazing. Alex got in touch right after booking and himself and Hannah personalised all the scrips to us. I gave a small amount of information however they went above and beyond on research about the company's and the staff to make it hilarious, scary and wonderful all in one. We cant thank you enough for all the effort and the team had a great time and still talk about it now. Such a great group experience and worth every penny.

5.00So glad we did this, had the most fun time. The actors were honestly amazing, and despite there being a very small group of us the experience was not affected. Each room was a great mix of educational and entertaining, while genuinely scaring us at time! Definitely recommend
