I saw a review on the front door about being scared initially and so glad they visited, this pursuaded me, they were spot on. What an incredible immersive experience, the staff/actors are all incredible, the attention to detail, set designs etc and story telling/costumes all just phenomenal. I was just amazed by it all. Well worth the £50. Just go you wont be dissappinted and I dont do scary so was the right level for me as I was really apprehensive, it was amazing!!!!! Thank you

Fun experience for all the family from age 10. The acting was great with jump-scares throughout

Great atmosphere, the actors and staff were brilliant throughout ! The plague doctor was very disturbing I think he was my favourite 🤣 Having been to most of the dungeons now I did worry it would become tiresome but I enjoyed every minute of it . The only thing I missed from my last visit was the maze part ( it’s about 6 years since I went ) I did really like that bit but it seems to have gone 😔 This is definitely the best experience out of all the dungeons Iv visited , I actually fancy doing the adult version now 😈 I wonder if the torturer will actually use any of the devices 😬😱🤣

Interactive and fun. Not too scary. Participants not too out of comfort zone. All in good humour

Definitely look for a deal as the prices online or on the door are crazy! We went as a family with our two boys aged 14 and 8. The actors were fantastic and the setting is great. My youngest left after room 5 as it was too scary for him. I would not recommend for children under 10. Very dark and in your face!!! I stayed with my 14 year old and we loved the rest of it. If you don’t like being selected then ask for a yellow sticker. We did and I am glad we did.

Absolutely amazing experience. A combination of scary and funny. I didn't realise that it would be that interactive, which might bother some people, but it was fun/ scary to be put in the cage and then later summoned by the judge. I was with a small group of lovely people which made it more fun. The actors were incredible and every room held another suprise or scare. I was buzzing when I came out. Would highly recommend

I took a group of 15 to York Dungeons as part of a meeting/day out and it was absolutely brilliant, the scenery, attention to detail and great acting make this place a truly immersive experience. We were scared at times and other times we were laughing our heads off. Special shout out to Mark the GM for personally helping us with the booking. I cannot reccomend this place enough, it was a great experience and one we should all do when visiting York. Thanks to all of the team at the Dungeon for a truly great time.

We went to the York Dungeon booked 3 tickets. £ 75 tickets in advance. We were 30 seconds late! ....If That! We were told that we were advised to be there 10 mins early, (not realizing that we would not get in if we weren't) We were there on Time. I stupidly handed my tickets to man on reception thinking we would get a refund, but as I was upset and angry at their attitude, I never got them back , So I have no proof. They would not refund our money. Terrible Customer Service. My advice would be DON'T BUY TICKETS IN ADVANCE.

Definitely the most fun I've had in a LONG time! The actors were brilliant, storytelling and scenes were spot on. There were some genuinely scary bits (I'm a 33 year old who loves horror) but rest assured no one will ever touch you. The groups were nice and small so it was much more intimate than say London. Really good fun for all ages and you learn a lot too. You absolutely have to visit!
