Thank you, Roger for a lovely WW1 tour. For anyone looking to book an English speaking tour by a British man who lives in Belgium, this is an excellent tour. Suitable for families or individuals. Roger went that extra mile to cater for our needs to find names of graves. 5 🌟.

Roger was very knowledgeable and gave us a real insight into the Strategy of the Battles. He was very entertaining as well and answered all questions with enthusiasm. We would certainly recommend Roger!

I had the pleasure of doing a tour with Mr Steward and from start to finish, it was amazing. His local knowledge of the batttlefields and menorials are beyond impressive. We visited cemetaries, trenches, and monuments. I cannot emphasize how incredible this tour was. His knowledge and passion for the history of this sacred area made this an experience I will never forget.

Very enjoyable day on this tour. January saw some of the museums closed but we still made the best of our time and had a great day touring many of the WW1 sites around Ypres. One nice touch was they I was contacted in advance to let me know that the museums were closed with the offer to cancel. Gained lots of insights in to the battles around Ypres from a very knowledgeable guide.

It has been the best tour I have ever taken to a battlefield. The difference is having a guide like Roger, who is not only an extraordinary guide, but a published writer about that same battlefield. He was able to give precise and not known information about every place we visited, giving you different insights. Roger is a very nice and flexible person, giving you the chance to choose the places and time to stay in each one. Really extraordinary!

Roger was an excellent guide. Knowledgeable and fun. Flexible with some requests, so don't be afraid to ask. Would recommend to anyone looking for a tour of the area.

What an amazing day we had with Roger! His knowledge is phenomenal and he is so engaging that you just want to go on and on listening and asking questions. We visited some of the best known sites and also one or two that were quieter and a little less known. Along the way, we learnt about the creation of the cemeteries, the ongoing work to identify and bury bodies, the Iron Harvest, alongside the stories of the battles. As we drove through the landscape, it all came to life. At lunchtime, the group thinned out and those of us remaining went for lunch and were then taken to the Passchendaele Museum. What a fantastic place! Roger left us to go round in our own time and met us at the end. The final stop was the huge Caterpillar Mine crater which fairly takes your breath away. If you get the chance to join one of these tours, grab it. Go for the full day if you can. I felt I had gained a proper knowledge and understanding of the battles around Ypres. It was a thought-provoking day but it was also brilliant!
