What To Expect
The Old Fort (Ngome Kongwe)
You will see a former prison, an old amphitheater that was once used for ladies, and traditional handicraft.
House of Wonders (Beit-el-Ajaib)
You will see the old bronze guns, which were captured by Persians by 1622; also, you will see Zanzibar's old curved doors and other preserved old items like dhows.

5.00What an exceptional experience. Do yourself a favour and go and immerse yourself in a one of a kind cooking class. What starts off with exploring the spice farm and being fascinated by how the spices are grown, followed by a medley of strange fruit tasting, ends in a cultural exposure that has you making pilau and chapati the traditional way. 5.00We had the most incredible day with Zanziflowers Tours and Safaris during the Full-Day Private Tour in Zanzibar with a Cooking Class! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized and tailored to our interests. The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, making us feel like we were exploring Zanzibar with a local friend. The highlight of the day was the cooking class, where we learned to prepare traditional Zanzibari dishes with fresh, local ingredients. The hands-on experience was so much fun, and the food we made was absolutely delicious! We also got to explore the island’s stunning landscapes, vibrant markets, and rich cultural heritage. Every stop was thoughtfully curated to give us a true sense of Zanzibar’s beauty and diversity. 5.00The tour started with Yaseen driving us along with our tour guide Khamees explaining everything. We walked through the forest and arrived to a Zanzibari primitive shack where everything was set for a cooking lesson. The cook dressed me up like a local woman which was fun. Then he started showing us the spices ,explaining and giving us instructions what to do and how to cook. It was very interesting to try different materials as well as different way of cooking. We had a blast the whole time that we didn’t realize that it passed 3 hours already. Then when the food was ready we had a feast . I still cannot believe how delicious, tasty, different and natural the food was. No hormones nor chemicals in the food at all . No heart burn afterwards either. The only downfall was is that we ate so much till our tummy was hurting so much. We walked in the forest after that exploring the spices we used in cooking My advice is ( do not miss this tour) having said that we always travel and do a lot of tours. Thank you Zanziflowers Tours Thank you Yaseen Thank you Khamees Thank you cook (I forgot his name) By the way we took another tour with the same people to Stone Town Jobani forest and prison island We learned a lot about spices, plants and cooking
