What To Expect
Zhujiajiao Ancient Town
Meet your knowledgeable guide at your hotel lobby. After one hour driving, you will start your exciting sightseeing tour from Zhujiajiao water town. It's the best-preserved water town in the area with history over 1700 years. There are old bridges, antiquated architecture and bubbling streams. You can wander along the canal, stroll around the old lanes, visit few houses with gardens. Later, enjoy a relaxing boat riding on the canal to see beautiful surrounding. Don't miss out the opportunity to take some fabulous pictures. Revitalize yourself with a delicious lunch in a local restaurant where you can have some local delicious dishes.
Yu Garden (Yuyuan)
In the afternoon, you will go back to Shanghai city, and visit Yuyuan Garden, a very ancient and well-preserved garden with the history of 400years old. You will see the stylish Chinese pavilion and authentic old architectures. Or you will have an alternative option to visit the famous Jade Buddha Temple instead(Yuyuan Garden closed on every Monday).

5.00Wonderful experience! Snow was amazing! If you're visiting Shanghi for the first time, trust me - you need to take this tour! Snow was so knowledgeable and shared so much info about Shanghai and China with me. She knows when to be at the tower for the best view, she knew when to go to each place to avoid traffic. This is the best tour I've ever had. Highly recommend it. If I could I would give Snow 10 stars!

5.00Although not an obvious option I'd thoroughly recommend this tour which includes a visit to Zhu Jia Jiao Water Village. We started at the Yu Gardens and surrounds, and very wise decision from Snow as she knew already that, being the weekend, it become very busy. And she was correct. So when we entered fairly early it was already quite busy, and very busy by the time we finished. The Gardens are lovely and well worth a visit. Snow was excellent with her explanations and knowledge of the history and symbolism. She was keeping an eye on the weather to see the best time to go up Shanghai Tower. Having decided we'd be better waiting until the afternoon we headed to the Water Village. By going with a guide we were able to arrive through local residential areas so got to see further authentic living, and also a Taoist Temple where we received some good knowledge from Snow whilst wondering around amongst local worshippers. The Water Village was busy as it was the weekend but wasn't oppressive while we wandered the narrow lines of shops and stalls, stopping at a local restaurant for a delicious lunch guided by Snow. This was followed by a beautiful boat trip along the water, just the right length. Gorgeous! The journey back provided some much appreciated quiet/ snooze time, before arriving back at Shanghai Tower and heading up. It was still cloudy, but enough breaks in the cloud for us to get a glimpse of just how high up we were! Not a clear night unfortunately but gladly worth the visit. A fantastic trip!

5.00If I could give this experience more than 5 stars I would. We were a group of 6 and I can say that it was by far one of the easiest logistics I’ve experienced, from communication with Alana for coordination, pick-up and mobilization in a very comfortable van and all tickets already reserved. And then, our guide, Caroline! SO patient, attentive, charming, welcoming, and knowledgeable, I highly recommend her! I would take the tour with her all over again (PD: Thanks Caroline for helping us learn useful words and pronunciation for the rest of our trip too!!) If you’re on the fence to take this tour, this is your sign to go ahead and schedule it.

5.00Fantastic excursion that was very well planned and organized. I highly recommend it and would definitely book it again but with new excursion destinations if I come to Shanghai again. May the guide really gave us the best of Shanghai. We learned a lot at an effective but calm pace. We were also treated to a wonderful lunch that was developed in consultation with us. Also with nice view. The driver Chen was also very professional and we were met at the cruise port and he made sure to drop us off at the airport at exactly the scheduled time. Don't miss this experience! They are very flexible if you want other or more stops along the way.
