5.00We were a bit apprehensive when we were the only couple on the tour! However, our guide Mijo was so engaging, and relaxed it felt like a personal tour! He was very informative throughout, was passionate about his home city and provided so many helpful tips as we progressed. On these tours the guide can often be somewhat opinionated but not in this case. He even took us to the best spot for photos which he took of us! Would definitely recommend!

5.00We had an outstanding walking tour of Split with Mijo. His knowledge of the city’s history was truly impressive, but what made the tour special was the way he brought that history to life. From Diocletian’s Palace to modern-day Split, he shared fascinating stories, local insights, and historical details in a way that was both engaging and easy to follow. Mijo also has a great sense of humor, which kept the entire group entertained throughout the tour. He struck the perfect balance between being informative and fun, making the experience enjoyable for both adults and kids. His passion for Split and its history was obvious in every stop along the way. If you’re visiting Split and want to understand the city beyond what you can read in a guidebook, I highly recommend taking a tour with Mijo. It was one of the highlights of our time in Croatia.

5.00Mijo was a first class guide. A local man with a great, dry sense of humour while being very self-effacing. He works well in a small intimate group size of never more than ten people. No huge groups with ear-pieces and lanyards, like those imposing cruise tours that block entrances and narrow walkways. Plenty of good humour and a very interesting amount of useful information too, along with a post-walk email with numerous activity and restaurant recommendations as well: super helpful!

5.00From the moment we were met by Mijo (our tour guide) we were in excellent hands. Mijo welcomed all our questions, the tour was at a relaxed pace and we really felt that we saw and heard about the history of Split, that we would never have discovered from anywhere else. Even little tips, like where to get the best coffee, gelato, bits to eat (at non eye watering prices). We had the best time!

5.00It was a great way to learn about the history of Split and those who have lived here through the centuries, from Ottoman to Jewish communities. Being a small group tour in a crowded city, made it easy to get from place to place and hear the wonderful stories shared by our guide.

5.00Mijo is very knowligible and also funny. Great voice, so you ear very well. Lots of history covered here, you learn a lot. Not a long walk, easy. Small group so asking questions is easy. I highly recommend.
