Negombo Fish Market
Negombo was home to Sri Lankan fishermen and women who engaged in traditional fishing methods long before the city became a renowned beach destination with hundreds of beach resorts lining its sandy shore. This large fish market, located at the western end of Negombo's seashore, is the center of all morning action. The Negombo Fish Market is one of Sri Lanka's largest and most important markets, which drives Negombo's economy.

5.00Tourists call them Tuk Tuk, natives call them auto's, one of the best mode of transport in Sri Lanka, and surprisingly comfortable, with a great breeze coming to cool the perspiration of you. Most hotel's have their select drivers, our one was chosen for us in both resorts, and both were beautiful souls. Both the drivers, we now consider friends. Both spoke excellent English, shared great local, political, tourist information, and were great human being. When you meet a great driver with knowledge, you can make all the bookings directly, a bit like a private chauffeur. Thank you to Ayur Ayur and Lavendish Resort for providing us great drivers. Tuk Tuk's a great for city tours.

5.00The guide was very well informed and provided explanations and information at an interesting level. He kept checking that we were happy with what we were doing. The transport was quick,clean and efficient. I would recommend this activity to everyone. It was a wonderful insight into Negombo

5.00Nishan was a fabulous tour guide! He shared his knowledge of Sri Lanka, the people, the culture, everyday life, religious customs etc. He took some great photos of us and gave us plenty of time to see each of the sights on the itinerary. A tuk tuk tour is a must!! So much fun! Nishan responded to our questions prior to our tour and met us punctually at our hotel. Highly recommend booking a tour with Nishan! You won't regret it!!

5.00Fantastic afternoon travelling around Negombo. When you have limited time and want to experience as much as you can this is a great way to do it. Our guide was Nishan and he showed us plenty of sites and was more than happy to take photos of us.
