Unlike typical activities, this experience blends gentle adventure with relaxation, guided by knowledgeable wranglers and steady, well-trained horses. It’s a memorable way to enjoy the outdoors, take in mountain views, and experience the timeless charm of horseback riding in a safe and welcoming environment. We even sometimes come across wildlife!

What To Expect
Guests will enjoy a guided Mountain Meadows horseback riding tour at Soldier Hollow Stables in Midway, Utah. Participants are asked to arrive approximately 15 minutes before their scheduled ride time to check in, complete waivers, and receive a brief safety orientation. The guided horseback experience lasts about one hour, allowing guests to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings while riding with our experienced guides. The tour will conclude at the scheduled end time, providing a safe, smooth, and memorable experience for all riders.

5.00We had the absolute BEST experience with Rocky Mountain Outfitters! Coming from out of state, I was honestly a little hesitant booking something like this, but Aspen (the owner) completely put my mind at ease. She was so sweet, informative, and upfront about everything—including letting us know about their cash discount, which we really appreciated. I even called back to ask about their rain policy, and they were amazing about staying in touch to make sure we had perfect weather for our ride. That level of communication meant so much, especially planning from out of state. My husband and I booked a private horseback ride, and it was absolutely worth it. We were staying in Heber City, and the location was super close and easy to get to. When we arrived, Ella met us right outside, confirmed our reservation, and walked us through everything we needed to know. It had been 10–15 years since either of us had ridden a horse, so we were a little nervous—but Ella was incredibly patient and made sure we felt comfortable before we even started. Once we got going, she made the experience even more special by getting to know us and sharing a bit about herself. She’s newer to the area and was so personable. She even stopped along the way to take the most breathtaking photos for us—something we’ll cherish forever. This truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We will 100% be back, and we are really hoping Ella is still there because she was just absolutely fabulous!
