London is so amazing but hectic, so why not have a relaxing day in the English Countryside instead, visiting The Cotswolds & beyond, on a Downton Abbey themed tour.
We visit Highclere Castle, grounds & gardens, home of Lord & Lady Grantham, Lady Mary & the Dowager (CASTLE/GARDEN TICKETS ARE NOT INCLUDED & MUST BE PURCHASED BY CLIENT)
We then tour the beautiful Cotswold villages & countryside that Downton Abbey brought to our screens in both TV & film & is a truly remarkable place.
We stop at shops, churches, market squares, thatched cottages, village halls, cricket greens & rose gardens.
Lunch can be taken in an Old English Pub where you can relax, eating perhaps fish n chips or some local ales?
Or we can take you to a very English Garden tea shop … the choice is both yours & endless!
The afternoon is then spent driving through more countryside & villages, chauffeured by your very own 'Branson', before returning to your own place of residence whilst listening to music of your choice.

We walk around the delightful Downton Abbey village on the edge of the Cotswolds & visit St Mary’s Church, The Crawley house, Village Green & see where so many scenes were filmed in stunning Bampton.
Highclere Castle
IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED Highclere Castle tickets then you spend 2-3 hours taking in the magnificence of the actual present day Aristocratic Castle of Lord & Lady Canarvon. You will see the interior & grounds where the Grantham’s lived & where so much of the Downton drama played out. TICKETS AVAILABLE VIA HIGHCLERE CASTLE WEBSITE.

5.00Steven Cahill was a tour guide from London to Highclere Castle. He did a fantastic job entertaining us with Downton Abbey trivia and all the fun things about the shows. He got us there in plenty of time to take our pictures at various locations throughout the property and bought us some biscuits from the gift shop. We had a great day!

5.00Greg was great! He was our tour guide and driver and was so knowledgeable for our Downton Abbey and The Cotswold full-day tour. I highly recommend this tour and Greg as a guide. And my friends and I would definitely be interested in taking another tour. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

5.00What a wonderful day in the English countryside! Our driver, Frank, picked us up right outside our London hotel and carried us away in his spacious taxi (plenty of space for 4 adults! Even provided waters for us) We toured around various Downton Abbey filming sights to which Frank was very knowledgeable about and explained the history behind each spot. He also gave us the opportunity to stop at a few extra historic sights along the way that weren’t on our designated tour itinerary which was AMAZING! It was like two tours in one. He knew so much about the significance and the history behind all the sights. We stopped at a pub along the way for a delicious lunch with beautiful garden views before we ventured onward. I can’t say enough about Frank, our guide. He patiently and enthusiastically answered all of our questions and we just thoroughly enjoyed his company! It was like touring around England with a friend. Highly recommend this tour and any others with Frank!! You will not be disappointed. Well done Barry tours! Thanks for the amazing memories Frank!

5.00We spent 7 days in the London area and participated in a total of 3 private tours. This one was absolutely the best! We are huge Downton Abbey fans, so this tour was at the top of our bucket list. I knew it was going to be fun, but little did I know it was going to be the best thing we did our entire time in London - and that is thanks to our driver and tour guide, Barry. He was super friendly and funny. He was very knowledgeable and started providing tidbits of information as soon as we were seated in his vehicle. He has been a cab driver in the London area for 30 years so he knows just about everything there is to know about London. He took us to beautiful areas that were not listed on the itinerary and we even got to meet some of the people that he has come to know at these places. He happily offered to take group photos of us at tourist points and even made sure we got to Starbucks on our way since we did leave our hotel for the tour before the hotel restaurant opened! We are planning to come back next year and will certainly book more tours. Hopefully we get Barry again! I know 5 stars are the norm, but I'd give Barry and this tour a million star rating if I could!

5.00paula was amazing!! she met all our needs and adapted if we wanted to do something different. we asked her to do a few things different leave early later, etc. at different places and she did whatever we needed. She was knowledgeable and met our needs.

5.00Barry was our driver for a private tour for a group of four adults going to Downton Abbey. His knowledge was amazing. He made our full day tour very enjoyable. Barry also showed us the villages that were used to film the series. He took photos of our group throughout the day which will provide wonderful memories of our day. We highly recommend Barry for any tour that you may be interested in. You will not be disappointed!
