BREAKFAST
Breakfast
Just before sunrise, the forests of Assam come alive with one of the most extraordinary sounds in the natural world—the singing duets of the Hoolock Gibbons. These songs, rising like a slow wave through the canopy, guide you into the heart of Hoollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary, home to India’s only apes Forest walk at Dawn Before sunrise, set out with your naturalist guide to Hoollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary. The moment you step onto the forest trail, you hear it: the rising, echoing duet of the gibbons. These songs act as territorial calls and bonding rituals—a behaviour studied by primatologists for its complexity and evolutionary significance. Follow the guide into the heart of the forest as the canopy brightens. Gibbon sightings usually begin early, when families are active, feeding, and calling. Watching them is an unforgettable moment: – Adults swinging with fluid motion – Mated pairs calling across treetops – Youngsters clinging, playing, and learning the rhythm of the canopy
