This tour will take you to the “Japan's No. 1 IMONI Festival," where you can eat imoni served dynamically in a large pot, a Guinness World Record, and spend a weekend enjoying the charms of Yamagata Prefecture in the Tohoku region.
Outside of the festival, you can also visit a shrine in Yonezawa, a place associated with Uesugi Kenshin, one of Japan's most famous military commanders, and a winery in Yamagata Prefecture, which is famous for its fruit.

We will take the Tohoku Shinkansen bullet train to Yonezawa City in Yamagata Prefecture with a guide at Tokyo station
Uesugi Hakushakutei
A Japanese restaurant in a Japanese traditional style building with a garden. The restaurant is full of Japanese atmosphere and serves Yonezawa's local cuisine.
Uesugi Jinja Shrine
A shrine located in Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture. Located in Matsugamisaki Park and dedicated to Kenshin Uesugi. It is a power spot that is said to be blessed with good fortune, fulfillment of various wishes, as well as academic success and prosperous business in honor of Kenshin Uesugi.
Takahata Winery
This modern winery is located along the river and surrounded by vineyards. There is a café inside the facility as well as a store where you can tour the facility and have tastings.
Michi-no-Eki Yonezawa
Michi no Eki is a place where local residents and tourists can get various information, purchase local food and local products, and take a rest. Michi no Eki Yonezawa is one of the most popular roadside stations in Japan, where visitors can shop inside a building designed in the image of the castle town of Yonezawa.
You will participate in the main event of this tour, the best potato stew party in Japan. The plan includes an all-you-can-eat large pot of Yamagata's imoni, which is registered in the Guinness Book of Records as the best in the world. The heavy equipment used to scoop up the imoni from the large pot is disassembled from all the working parts of the newly unloaded body arm, which has never been used before, and each part is cleaned with household detergent to clean off the oil and grease used in its manufacture. No need to worry about hygiene as butter is applied as a lubricant! At the Imoni Festival, you will not only eat imoni, but also enjoy various events such as Yamagata's traditional dance and food stall village, which will make the venue very crowded. Enjoy the Japanese autumn with your guide!

The tour will end when you and your guide return to Tokyo Station by Tohoku Shinkansen.
