We joined the '2 Day Northern Lights & Ice Cave Tour with Glacier Hiking & Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon' in Apr 2026 through 'Guid to Iceland'. They assigned the tour guide company 'David The Guide' for majority part of the tour. We had been very disappointed and underwhelmed because 2 reasons: 1) 'Guide to Iceland' sent us the email 1 day before the tour saying the assembly time was 8:00 am. However, we didn't see our tour van before 9:00 am, and we waited outside Hallgrimskirkja below -1°C and exposing to heavy wind for 1 hour. But the driver said the scheduled time was 9:00 am and I also learnt that the assembly time of other participants of the tour was 9:45 am in another town (in which case the tour van was punctual to them). 2) On the 2nd day of the tour, we were on the journey back from the Hotel in an area of South Iceland to Reykjavik. At the start of the day, we put our suitcases into the back of the tour van. At the end of the tour, one of the suitcases disappeared and since then it was never been found. This is ridiculous and definitely avoidable: - The driver said he never locked the back door as there is no need, but there was once the tour van had to stop in the highway because someone in another car pointed the back of the van to the driver. And the driver went to the back of the van, and I heard he pushed something at the back. We tried to contact both 'David the Guide' and 'Guide to Iceland' for the complaint, and 'Guide to Iceland' handle our complaints with much better attitude, as 'David the Guide' just simply tell us to contact back 'Guide to Iceland' without taking too much accountability. And when we tried to contact 'David the Guide' in the morning of the first day for whereabout of the tour van, they never responded. I sincerely felt everyone should avoid this company at all cost when joining Icelandic tours.

Very well planned tour taking in the sights and avoiding the crowds as much as possible. Our guide Agnes was excellent with great knowledge of the sites we were visiting. The hotel we stayed in was great, got to see the Norther Lights, the sun was shining during the day, what else could you ask for!

As a solo traveller, I was able to see many of the sites that I wanted to see on my first trip to Iceland! The bus is comfortable and I had a great stay at the Hotel Hofn (comes with delicious breakfast). A few of the sites included Ice Cave, Waterfalls (Seljalandsfoss, Skogafoss etc.), Diamond Beach and more. We were a small group of 9 and everyone was respectful and on time when coming back to the bus at each stop. Yes, this is a fast-paced tour, but you will cover MANY spots! Thank you to my guide, Sebastien, for a wonderful trip to the South Coast, he is friendly, knowledgeable and communicates clearly.

We had a great tour with Elias he was a highly knowledgeable driver and guide who shared so much on Iceland’s history and culture. The sites were amazing including Glacier Lagoon Diamond Beach Black Sand Beach all the water falls and the glacier hike was fun and enjoyable with the kids ages 9-13! The accommodation is simple but clean and the food was quite good. Highly recommend!

This tour was great! Agnes, our tour guide, was exceptional and stopped along our journey around the South Coast for us to take in some incredible views / sunsets. The accommodations for the night were standard and clean. Overall, I would recommend this tour for anyone trying to see the south coast in the winter!
