This group tour is exclusively in English. Our city tour enables the visitor to discover the best of Bayeux and Normandy history. Admire and identify the architectural features of its medieval buildings and its superb cathedral. Let your guide regal you with stories of ancient trades and old customs. Learn about major events and little anecdotes over many centuries.
This tour is perfect to complement your visit to the D-Day beaches, the Bayeux Tapestry, the Museum of Arts and History, the War Memorial Museum and the Bayeux cathedral. We aim to provide an enjoyable and informative tour. Our guides are fluent, knowledgeable and fun! Suitable for >8 years old. All participants should have a good level of English.

The many standing stops might become tiring for back sufferers or pregnant ladies: we recommend you bring a foldable stool. We will also use public benches wherever possible.
Be mindful that there are no "nature call" stops during this 2 hour tour, therefore it is recommended to plan ahead.

No luggage storage facility at the Tourist Office. Only backpacks can be brought on the tour.

Christele, our tour guide, totally engaged the group and her sense of humour was refreshing and appreciated. My husband was not initially enthusiastic about taking a historical walk, but really enjoyed it.

5.00Christele was amazing! I’m not someone who easily follows history type tours and she made learning about this city fun and memorable. Her English was perfect as well. I love how she recaps and makes it so interesting! Great tour! You have to book this when you see it cause I saw other tours and they were overcrowded. This one was smaller and a perfect size! I see why it books up weeks beforehand.
