Paola did a wonderful job of showing us around her lovely village of Lucca. What a step back in time, combined with a lesson on history and personalized stories- this trip was just what we needed. Touring these small villages throughout Tuscany is so nice but what made visiting Lucca so enriching was this personalized tour, thank you Paola!

Please be on time. Our guide was so patient when two members of our large party joined late and others joined late as well, but they interrupted her presentation of information. The walk is all level, and it gives you a good sense of the layout of the city. You don’t go into any of the buildings you see, but you get a good idea of what you’d like to return to see.
