This 3-day hike through the Grand Canyon National Park will be one thing you do in your life that you'll never forget! This all-inclusive hike is a wonderful introduction to hiking. As you hike to the canyon floor, enjoy the Colorado River, relax under the shady cottonwood trees near Bright Angel Creek, or grab a lemonade at historic Phantom Ranch! You can take a side hike to Plateau Point for amazing 360 views of the sunset will not disappoint! All permits and fees, gear, meals, snacks, transportation and a certified wilderness guide are all included!

Grand Canyon National Park
Make your way to the departure point in Scottsdale begin the drive to the South Rim. Day 1 of this adventure begins at the South Kaibab Trailhead for a 7.5 mile hike. The trail descends over 4,800 feet down to the canyon floor of this spectacular gorge. Enjoy incredible views from the trail across the 18 mile wide corridor. You will be carrying a backpack weighing approximately 35 pounds. It will contain your personal belongings and the food and camping gear provided. Your guide will interpret the various rock layers for you during the descent in which the age of the earth is clearly outlined - over 2 billion years! The Grand Canyon is one of the very few places on earth where you can see this! After a rest, continue down further, now joined by the stream formed by the spring. Wind down the Devil's Corkscrew, a series of exhilarating switchbacks.
Colorado River
After the switchbacks, you'll make your way to the Colorado River. Here, you will cross the extension bridge to the north side and arrive at the Bright Angel Campsite for the remainder of the day and night.

Awake to fresh coffee and breakfast before heading to Indian Gardens, the site of your second night. Enjoy a wonderful afternoon hike out to an overlook above the river after lunch. This day you will cover three to six miles of ground. A delicious dinner concludes the day.

Grand Canyon Village
On your last day, you'll be up early for a nutritious breakfast before heading to the rim and the Grand Canyon Village. Once back at the trailhead, take a last look at the canyon's vastness while enjoying a deli lunch. A quick souvenir stop or two and then you'll be on the road back to Flagstaff by mid-afternoon.

5.00Can’t even begin to tell you what a great experience this was! Brittney was amazing and was a big part of why the trip was so great! She took great care of us in so many ways - from leading us on the hikes, giving us pointers, cooking, answering all our questions(trip related as well as many others!) and so much more. Weather was very hot but it didn’t matter - we all had a great time. Food was amazing, gear was great, good balance of hard work and relaxation time. Discovery Treks was very easy to work with and extremely responsive to all questions/emails. We even had to deal with the issue of rescheduling due to the fires on the North Rim but it all went very smoothly. Highly recommend!!!

5.00Great experience! Keenan and Colin were great guides who provided a great trip with their extensive knowledge of the Grand Canyon and excellent campsite cooking. I would take another trip with them as guides and with Discovery Treks. Thanks.
You must train and mentally prepare for the hike down and out. It’s no joke. Train with a weighted vest 35 pounds plus.

5.00We did the 3 day Cremation Canyon hike with a trip down to the Colorado River. Our guide Annie was incredible. Very informative, funny, supportive and confident. Also a quick problem solver. The hike was intense, 3 of us in our 60's, but Annie was so positive and inspired us to finish with tons of inspiration and lots of water! Food was delicious, breathtaking scenery and the organization was well done. Highly recommend.

5.00The views and the experience were amazing. Training is critical to enjoying the trip even for experienced hikers. They provided all the gear and it was quality stuff. Our guide, Keenan, was very experienced on this trail and others. He provided tasty meals for picky eaters and kept us on schedule. Recommend you bring an air mattress otherwise their gear list is sufficient.
