He was incredibly knowledgeable, professional,His experience and sharp eyesight helped us spot an incredible variety of wildlife, including the Big Five, leopard, cheetahs, lions, elephants, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and many others, . He always made sure we had the best viewing opportunities while respecting the wildlife and nature. The safari was perfectly organised, the itinerary was excellent, and every day brought unforgettable experiences and breathtaking scenery. Everything exceeded our expectations. We had the pleasure of spending three unforgettable days on safari in the Masai Mara with our guide, Peter Ngigi, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Peter was the perfect combination of friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. His ability to anticipate animal movements and position us in exactly the right place at the right time was truly remarkable. Even more impressive was his skill in finding the perfect viewing and photography angles, allowing us to capture some absolutely incredible moments that we’ll treasure forever. His knowledge of the wildlife, their behaviour, and the Masai Mara ecosystem was fascinating, and he was always happy to answer our questions and share interesting facts throughout the trip. His passion for the animals and the conservation of the area really shone through. Thanks to Peter’s expertise, we saw far more than we ever imagined and had experiences that exceeded all our expectations. We always felt safe, well looked after, and genuinely enjoyed his company. We would wholeheartedly recommend Peter Ngigi to anyone planning a safari in the Masai Mara. He played a huge part in making our trip so special, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book another safari with him in the future.

If you’re heading on safari in Kenya, I would recommend Peter as your guide. With 16 years of experience, his knowledge of the land, the wildlife, and the culture is second to none - and it showed in every moment of the trip. What set Peter apart wasn’t just his ability to track animals — it was the warmth and genuine passion he brought. It was one of the highlights of the entire trip. Yes, the starts were early — very early! — but worth it. Friendly, engaging, endlessly knowledgeable, and clearly someone who loves what he does. Couldn’t recommend him more highly.

We had an amazing safari in the Masai Mara, and our guide, Peter Ngigi, played a huge part in making it so memorable. He was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable, with a remarkable ability to spot wildlife and ensure we got the best possible sightings. Peter was also exceptionally helpful and accommodating due to my wife's disability, always making sure she was comfortable and able to fully enjoy every aspect of the safari. His kindness, patience, and attention to detail made a real difference to our experience. We couldn't have asked for a better guide and would highly recommend Peter to anyone visiting the Masai Mara.

There is no one else you want to have take you on safari. Peter spoke to us about his love for being a safari guide and it shows. He took us to areas of Masai Mara that almost no other trucks were going to, so we got to see a lot of wildlife without anyone else around (uncommon in the Park). Peter knows so much about all the animals and I enjoyed how he got just as excited as we did when we found something new. I particularly appreciate how much Peter thought about creating an experience we would remember; he made sure I got the best photo angles and even took photos of my husband and me so that we'd always have the memories. Don't hesitate to book with Peter!

We were picked up (nicely on time) at our rented house in Karen district by Peter Ngigi our game drive/safari driver. We had such a good trip. It was a long trip but comfortable in the big car with pillows on the seats. It was cool enough due to the early morning temp. We arrived at Camp Fig Tree in Maasai Mara in the afternoon, got three tents by the river. we saw hippoes in the morning/evening but were safely high up on a steep brink. Honestly tents is a bad word it feels like a tent shaped hotel room, with warm water, big bathroom and nice beds with mosquito nets around the beds and at the tent opening. didnt notice any (new) bites. Took an afternoon game drive with Peter, and saw pretty much everything. The animals seem completely unbothered by the cars so saw most of them up close!. The camp morning and evening food (buffet with enough choices) and a late bonfire were great. Free coffee and tea to take in between. We heard hippoes and hyenas at night but there are guards patrolling and felt save enough. Had another game drive at 7, and had a great time. It feels impossible how often the animals were either close by, or crossing the road, when we got to them so saw giraffens, elephants, water buffalo, mongoose, LIONS, cheetas and so on up close. had a pack of lionesses taking a break in the shade of our car. It was such a nice few days we have had, I can warmly recommend it to anyone. We give credit to Peter who made the trip special by answering our many questions about all the animals, and for being just a cheerful and excellent guide to Massai mara and its inhabitants (both people and wildlife).

We were going on a three day Safari from Fig Tree lodge with Peter Ngigi as driver and tourleader. Peter drove the big Landcruiset with excellent skills and managed to give us fantastic experiences and the possibility of taking really great pictures. Peter is a really nice guy and his knowledge of Masai Mara and the animal life there lifted the safari to a high and satisfying level. I can only give Peter my absolute best recommandations. The Fig Tree lodge is a wonderful place with a staff that is doing their utter best to make you feel comfortable. The food is really good varied and the tent for sleeping is great. It’s equipped with a nice bathroom and as a bonus the comfortable double bed had an effective mosquito net. All the best recommandations for Fig Tree lodge.

My family and I were five people who were picked up in a big Land Cruiser at our accommodations and drove us to the Mara Fig Tree Camp in the early afternoon. During our stay here, our driver Peter Ngigi took us on an evening and full day Animal drive across the Masai Mara. He ensured we had wonderful trip both times. Well organised with timing, routes, car and refreshments, but most importantly by being exceptionately friendly and likeable, while also being a fountain of information on the many many animals we saw (only missing rhino) and answering all our questions. I praise his work highly.

We went with Peter for a 3 day trip in the Mara. Everything went exceptionally smooth and Peter was incredibly helpful and accommodating of all our requests. Having been on several safaris, I would say that Peter excels in friendliness, knowledge and least but not least; exceptional knowledge of his surrounding and animal behavior and predictions of movement , which leads to prime camera friendly encounters. Highly recommend!
