5.00We visited Beijing, Zhangjiajie, Xi’an, and Shanghai. Each destination had such a unique vibe. The history in Beijing is incredible—I was blown away when we first entered the Forbidden City. Our guide really brought the stories to life. Since we enjoyed the history so much, Xi’an was perfect for us—especially the Terracotta Warriors and the City Wall. However, Zhangjiajie was just unreal. The scenery is breathtaking, almost like CGI. I found it frustrating trying to take photos because the camera just can't capture the depth and scale of those mountains. It looks so different in person. Shanghai was a bit of a mixed bag. The skyline views from the Bund are world-class and very distinct from the rest of China. But Nanjing Road felt a bit dated to me, haha. I guess I expected something more futuristic there. We are already thinking about a second trip! I really want to check out Huangshan and Wangxian next time.
