If you're looking to go whale watching in Monterey Bay, this was the best experience I've had yet! It was catered to our unique interests, when we would come upon a group of whales or dolphins, etc. Slater would allow us to stay as long as we wanted and would frequently ask for our input...whether we wanted to explore more or stay. He would maneuver the boat so that we had the best views....not to mention the smaller boat made the experience more intimate, both with the whales and the people you're with. His expertise in the area is clear as he was often finding the whales before other boats and then the other tours would come to us. This meant, a more private viewing of the whales. He's great at spotting the whales at a distance and knowing based upon the food supply and ocean trends where they would most likely be. He would also share a lot of facts about the whales or whatever creatures we came across. It was nice that it was more conversational as well. The highlight for me was seeing a humpback whale jumping multiple times out of the water and slapping it's tail. I went with a friend and it felt like a private whale tour around the Bay. Just amazing!! If you're looking for an expert on the Monterey Bay and a unique and unforgettable look at whales, this trip is for you!! Well worth the price and am hoping to go again someday.

We had a phenomenal trip with Enocean Tours. 10-15 humpback whales were spotted on our first stop out of the harbor. The center console boat allowed us to get close and be agile enough to see several groups of whales. We ran along the edge of the canyon and saw a blue whale. Our group has done whale tours on larger boats, and this experience definitely beats it. We will be back next year to search for killer whales again.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I've been on many whale watch tours over the years, and this was by far the BEST experience I've ever had. The small-group boat made the trip feel personal, comfortable, and immersive. Slater was extremely knowledgeable, professional, respectful of the wildlife, and clearly committed to ethical whale watching practices (which is something that really matters to me). We saw breaching humpback whales, fin whales, dolphins, sea lions, and even a few mystery animals! Slater did an amazing job spotting whales from far away and was open to our feedback with which direction we wanted to head when multiple whales were in sight. Slater at Enocean Tours is highly experienced on the water and was respectful to all other whale watch boats. Every moment felt unforgettable. He even sent us a trip report afterwards to help us remember which whales we saw throughout the day. I highly recommend Enocean Tours, especially for experienced whale watchers who are looking for a more luxury, curated experience. Such a wonderful experience and I will definitely be back again very soon!
