Important Note regarding Maligne Canyon Waterfalls: Due to damage caused by last summer’s wildfire, access to Maligne Canyon is currently closed by Parks Canada for infrastructure repairs to ensure visitor safety. If these repairs are not completed prior to your selected tour date, the short walk to view waterfalls in Maligne Canyon will not be possible. In this case, the tour will proceed with a slightly altered itinerary, offering alternative stops to showcase the area’s unique beauty. This includes a visit to Maligne Lookout, where you can view the dramatically changed landscape from a high vantage point, and additional time at Medicine Lake, featuring a short walk along the shore for stunning perspectives of the lake surrounded by towering limestone cliffs. Please rest assured that the tour length and price remain unchanged, and the overall experience will still provide incredible opportunities to explore and learn about the Maligne Valley’s natural wonders.
To request complimentary pick-up from your accommodation, please specify which hotel you are staying at. Pickup times vary therefore your exact pick-up time will be confirmed upon booking.
If you are staying outside of Jasper, please specify Jasper Downtown Location - at Two Brothers Totem Pole across from Parks Canada Information Center on Connaught Drive. Your meeting time will be 15 minutes prior to your trip’s departure time. All-day parking is located in the parking lot.

5.00This was are best tour in Canada so far, we have booked several trips through Pursuit and They have all been awesome. But, todays Tour guide Michael and Captain Asher went above and beyond to make the tour extra special. Super informative came around and spoke to everyone and included a special event for the children on the cruise. I have to say the talent team for Pursuit picked a perfect pair that are extremely passionate at what they do.

5.00Jake was an absolutely brilliant tour guide who was extremely knowledgeable in every aspect of this trip. From the wildlife, to the history to the finer detail of the trees and plants. He looked after us every step of the way and with quite a sense of humour as a bonus. So pleased we booked this trip, we were lucky enough to see black bear, eagles, elk and long horn sheep along the way.

5.00Kelli was a fantastic guide and shared her amazing knowledge and experience with Jasper and the wildlife in the park! We were lucky enough to see some elk(male and female) a black bear, a bald eagle family, a young bighorn and a pretty large moose! The ride on Maligne Lake and out to Spirit Island was great as well with Sydney and Asher!

5.00What a brilliant day! Our guide, Sam, was fantastic. He had an amazing knowledge and of the wildlife and environment and shared a really interesting review of the 2024 Jasper wildfire complex, setting that in context with previous fires. It was easy to understand the impact and also the benefits of these wildfires. Although we saw elk, mule deer, big horn sheep, marmot and mink, the moose were elusive because of the heat. Sam gave us great tips to return to the area at dusk when we saw both male and female moose. It really couldn’t have been better.
