Prato Della Valle

Prato della Valle is one of the largest squares in Europe and a symbol of Padua. Originally a marshy area, it was transformed in the 18th century into an elegant elliptical square surrounded by a canal and lined with 78 statues of notable historical figures. Basilica of St. Anthony
