You will have the opportunity to try freshly opened oysters, mussels, and a local Croatian wine. You will enjoy the Bay of Mali Ston. The bay hosts the largest oyster cultivation facilities in the Adriatic. Mussels are also part of the marine culture. The favorable hydrological conditions for seashell cultivation have been recognized since ancient times; remnants of oyster farming dating back to the Roman Empire have been found in the area. The Walls of Ston that you will see on the tour are large fortifications built by the Republic of Ragusa. They are the second-longest walls in Europe.

What To Expect
After the pick up we are heading to Ston where we will make a small break for coffee or sightseeing for 45 minutes. Ston is very popular for its walls that are called the second biggest fortification system after the Great Wall of China. After your free time in Stone, we are continuing our journey to the place called Hodilje. There, we will visit the family seashells farm for oyster and mussels tasting with wine. The family members will explain their family tradition and open some oysters for tasting in front of your eyes! After oysters, prepare your taste buds for the best traditional mussel dish - Buzara. Our journey continues to the small home winery Škurla. There, you will have the opportunity to hear the stories of the process of making the wine and to enjoy the taste of original wines made from grapes from Pelješac peninsula with homemade plate with ham, cheese and salad. We will drop off guests at their accommodations.

1.00this tour operator left us waiting and didn’t show. ruined our day. we called him after trying through vistar. he claimed to us his driver was ill but separately told viatar his mother was ill. whether there is any truth here our not we were left standing around without tfe courtesy of a call. we did receive our money back. i’d look elsewhere!

1.00it was so horrible, I’m waiting for pickup for 30min, then I called the tour operator at +385976155489, he told me he is sick, I need to cancel booking myself, no one even to inform me in advance the trip is canceled, I just spent whole morning to wait if I didn’t call! Terrible experience I ever had!

5.00This was the most amazing experience! Our driver picked us up from our apartment near Old Town and first drove us to Ston where we grabbed coffee and walked around. Then he drove us to the port, where an oyster/mussel farmer took us out his boat to harvest fresh oysters and mussels. He was so nice and knowledgeable - he explained the history of Ston and the process of farming oysters/mussels. Each person tried 5 mussels (straight from the bay!) along with local wine. He also grabbed mussels from the bay and his daughter (who was in the boat) cooked them up to make the most amazing dish, served with bread for dipping. It was truly the coolest, most unique experience. I would recommend 1000%!

5.00Wow this tour with Peter was amazing. Ston is beautiful, the oyster trip was stunning and peaceful and the owner was so happy to chat and the winery was gorgeous with lovely wines and food. Definitely recommend this trip.

5.00The host Pero picked us up from our accommodation, he was very flexible and nice. The guy at the oysters and mussels tasting brought us closer to the family tradition and the shells are so fresh and amazing!!! Winery was exeptional, all of the tasted wines were heaven. I would recommand this for all of the guests who want to ecape to a peaceful place and relax.
