What To Expect
The Seine
Rendez vous at “Bateaux Parisiens” / Port de la Bourdonnais just next to the Eiffel Tower to board the Parisian boats for a cruise on the Seine River. Unwind while contemplating the history of Paris and admire its many monuments such as the Louvre Museum, the Orsay Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral and the many bridges with their unique architecture. The audio guide of the boat is available in 14 languages. You can also listen to them from an application on your smartphone. Your tickets will be sent to you by mail.

Missed the Romance

2.00Extreme heat lingered into the evening and a mass of people had gathered at the quay. I missed getting a crepe as the tour participants and general public had access to the one food cart. The tour boat overfilled on the upper deck due to heat; very crowded. Great way to see Paris floating the river.

3.00The cruise itself was nice, although the audio was hard to use. The crepe tasting was NOT at the foot of the Eiffel Tower as described. It was a 15-20 min walk away and very hard to find as no clear directions were provided. Once we found the place, the views were awesome and the crepes were very tasty.

4.00I booked our River cruise several weeks in advance, so I was very surprised when we arrived at the port that we were forced to stand in line with thousands of other people, many of whom were purchasing their tickets on the spot. We stood in line for at least an hour before we were able to board the boat. I think priority boarding for those who purchase tickets in advance would be helpful. Maybe I expected too much for an experience that was low cost, but I was stunned at the number of people who were in line. The cruise itself was great! Plenty of seating and great views all around- even from the bottom deck. I would totally do this cruise again, but it would’ve been helpful to know what the situation would be beforehand.

4.00The boat experience was great! On the other hand, regarding the crepe, a more precise address or the name of the crepe maker would be necessary, as it was impossible for us to find it since we do not live in Paris. Therefore, we did not have a crepe, which is such a shame!

4.00The boat ride was an hour long, they were flexible with the time so I was able to do the ride when it was convenient to me. The crepe tasting experience was uncomfoftable and not very welcoming but overall it was a good experience.

5.00Pack comfortable shoes and an open mind. Be prepared to learn the unpublicized truths surrounding Black people in Paris. Antonia was a delight, well informed, and kind enough to allow a woman of a certain age to take a few breaks between steps!

5.00The tour was great. We received an email with two PDF documents, one that was a voucher and the other one was the tickets with the barcode. This email had all the instructions and link to find the cruise and the crapes. 5 stars!
