Ideal for families, this ghost tour of St. Augustine’s spookiest sites combines light-hearted fun with spine-tingling tales of the city’s past. Alongside a costumed guide, you visit cemeteries, the ground of the Old Fort, and other haunted locations to discover the little-known legends that surround the romantic venue. This tour is limited in order to maintain an atmosphere suitable for the ghost walk.

A Ghostly Encounter’s Storm Policy (as follows)
1. A Ghostly Encounter tours operate rain or shine. Florida weather changes rapidly and is unpredictable, and we monitor our weather prior to all tours.
2. If lighting is present in the area: we will delay the start of the tour for 20 minutes to give the storm time to pass, then proceed as normal.
3. If lightening remains present in the area, management may decide to reschedule the tour. Guests will be moved to the following evening’s tours or to the nearest date convenient with the group.
4. If rescheduling is not convenient, each guest will be provided a voucher for a future A Ghostly Encounter tour, subject to availability. For offer to be valid, guest must present the voucher directly to our office staff upon returning to St. Augustine or speak directly with the office staff to reschedule (not through a third-party booking site). Please remember to bring your voucher with you. Lost or forgotten vouchers will not be honored; however, vouchers do not expire.
What To Expect
Oldest Wooden School House
Our tour begins and ends at 12 St. George St., St. Augustine Florida. Located next door to the Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse.
Castillo de San Marcos National Monument
Join us on the oldest continuously operated walking ghost tour in town. Walk the dark narrow streets of St. Augustine and hear tales of those who came before us and refuse to leave. The Castillo de San Marcos, The City Gate, The Tolomato and Hugenot Cemeteries, as well as some of our favorite hotspots.

5.00This experience was so incredible. We had Blanco as our tour guide. He was super awesome. Blanco made the tour entertaining, incredible, and spooky! Blanco told us amazing historical stories and ghost encounters. We even caught a picture of a ghost! Blanco was super helpful if we had a question he could answer everything. He was incredibly kind, funny, and made things enjoyable. We also went to Some incredible locations! We highly recommend the tour! Make sure to book it with Blanco! 10/10!

2.00I'm sure this tour is heavily dependent on who you get as a tour guide, and ours was unfortunately not a good storyteller. We actually had 2 people in our group leave early it was so bad. I would have as well if not for social graces. The guide was very boring and didn't tell very many ghost stories. Next time I'm in St. Augustine I will have to try again, and hope I get a better guide so I can hear some interesting lore.

3.00Our tour guide definitely had personality and potential to be great but unfortunately we find him a bit unnecessarily long winded about the stories he was sharing- for a 90 minute walking tour that was to include history and ghosts- it just seemed like we could have been given so much more info as we were walking- more short stories and historical info about the buildings we passed, etc. I’ve used Viator to book many tours in the part and have never been disappointed so this was a bit of a let down & I feel horrible leaving this kind of lack-luster review! There was actually another guide “shadowing” our tour who quietly shared more info with us as we walked along- at one point I wished he’d been the one giving the tour instead of our actual guide. Again our tour guide did seem like he had the right kind of passion for the area and great showmanship potential for delivering info in an entertaining way, but at this point it was just “okay”.
