Castello di Monselice
The most famous monument in the walled city of Monselice is the Cini Castle, named after its last owner. The monument is currently owned by the Veneto Region, which has converted it into a prestigious museum with a wealth of medieval furniture, furnishings and weapons.
Villa Duodo, Balbi Valier
Villa Duodo, also known as Villa Valier, is attributed to the architect Vincenzo Scamozzi and built for a Venetian patrician, Francesco Duodo, around 1592. Located high above the fortress of Monselice, the villa shows Palladian influences and is composed of two L-shaped blocks that create a rectangular courtyard. Attached to the villa is a church dedicated to San Giorgio, the last and largest church that completes a 'sacred route' of pilgrimage of the seven small churches that climb from the centre of the city to the top of the Rocca hill.

This fascinating tour brings you back to the medieval times with castles, chapels, nobel families of the region. One can discover interesting history, the others can get inspired by the panoramic views from the top of the walled town and the Euganian Hills, and pilgrims can appreciate the seven church route on their spriritual way. The tasting of local olive oil ended up the journey. The tour was well organised and went smoothly as scheduled.

My mom and I were very lucky last week to meet the enchanting girls from Lo Vivo in Abano Terme. From the first second we felt super cared for and despite low season everything was tried so that we can see as much as possible. We were only put off by other organizers/providers to only receive cancellations at the end because too few people were registered for the tours. Very different with Lo Vivo! In the end we could enjoy 4 different trips (Monselice, Venice for insiders, the villas of the Riviera del Brenta and Padua). Venice have organized them for an additional fee also just for the two of us, as normally 4 people minimum are needed for the trip. Absolutely fantastic. All-round service as we were picked up every time from the hotel in Abano and brought back at the end. Even in small tour groups of max. 7 travelers Everything was super relaxed and top organized. Chiara and Martina are super sweet and mega engaged. Above all, Martina has an insane background knowledge through her studies in history and archaeology, with which she can put any licensed guide in her pocket. Filled with lots of fun facts, every trip becomes a real experience! And of course both come from the region they know and love. Chiara is also a small language genius due to her many stays abroad. Both speak a little German. The tours in English (especially with multilingual groups) were super understandable. We can only say THANK YOU again. It is already certain that we will be back next year and are already very much looking forward to exploring even more of this wonderful region with the girls:-) Christiane and Alexandra from Berlin
