The tour will start by crossing the famous Montado by van. The forest where the cork oaks grow, the cork tree. An inheritance left by our ancestors.
Then, the spectacular Almendres Cromlech, considered even by the locals to be the most mysterious place in the region. The truth is that until now, no one has been able to give us an exact explanation that justifies the presence of this monument and its significance. We'll talk about some of the more well-known theories.
These stones can give you a completely different understanding of our existence. The way Humanity has been evolving and how important some of the things we consider simple today were.
We will visit 3 megalithic monuments, but as all our tours are different we might also have the opportunity to visit some nearby Roman ruins.

Fabio met us at the designated and easy to locate spots for pick‐up. He was exactly on-time. We drove to the rural surrounding of Évora, after awhile parked and walked up a dirt road for a bit til met with an arranged array of spectacular 5500BC stones. We proceeded to explore and experience all of the items on the promised agenda. From our stepping into Fábio's van until we exited several hours later, we kept up a running conversation, all interesting. Our host was friendly, generous, genuine, patient, and knowledgeable in the history, past and present, of the region. We learned so very much about the stones, the past and present economy, language/pronunciation roots, etc. Fábio was willing to discuss all of our questions. The other exceedingly pleasant thing about the trip was the stunning beauty of the Spring landscape, trees, flowers, grasses, fields and pastures, cows, sheep, views across the valley and into the hills, and the settings of the cork trees and other oaks, the menhirs, the dolmas, random granite outcroppings... and the fresh air and peacefulness to accompany it all. A great trip. Muy Obrigada, Fábio!
