What To Expect
Konavle
Konavle is the southernmost region of Croatia. It's an agricultural valley with a lot of vineyards and arable land rich with olive trees, orchards, and Mediterranean flora. This area has a long tradition of wine making, and wine is of importance for tourism in Konavle. Wines are complemented by a selection of local dishes. That's traditional, homemade specialties like lamb and veal with potatoes prepared under the bell ("peka"), meat and fish specialties grilled on wood, and Dalmatian pašticada. Besides the wines, the Konavle region has great olive oil, honey, grapes, different fruits, and vegetables. These benefits allow local restaurants to offer fresh domestic products, and the guests to eat as locals do. Our 4-hour tour includes guided tasting in one winery in Konavle, a panoramic drive through Konavle valley, a stop at the Ron Brown viewpoint, and at one archaeological site.

5.00Nice and communicative guide. We were lucky and were the only ones on this tour. First to the vantage point high above Cavtat. Stunning view! Then through lands with olive groves and grape groves to small wine producer. There we tasted five wines and tasted cheese and charcuterie. Cute hosts and interesting information. Then lunch at a fantastic place by a river / stream where it served local specialities (cost not included for the food) We are overall very satisfied. Not least with the guide Pero.

5.00We had a fantastic afternoon visiting a lookout and Monastery along the way to a vineyard and on to lunch. We got the best table in the house at a local village restaurant. Food was amazing and authentically croation. The wine tasting was very informative at a great location with local family. Our tour guide was 1st class.
