Saqqara Pyramid
the step pyramid, The architect Imhotep created for his ruler from about 2650 BC. a tomb in the form of a staircase to heaven. Today the building is 62.5 meters high and is the only one of the pyramids that does not have a square floor plan. The term step pyramid refers to a pyramid-like building with a stepped cubature. Djoser's Sufen pyramid was the first attempt to build a pyramid
Pyramids of Dahshour
The Knick Pyramid was built in the time of King Snefru and this was the second attempt to build a real pyramid. As the third highest pyramid in Egypt, the Pyramid of Snofru is one of the most impressive Egyptian sights today. Since the pyramids of Dahshur were in a military restricted area for a long time and were only opened to the public in the mid-1990s, they are still relatively unknown and still an insider tip among Egyptian sights.

We just had an unforgettable family stay (2 adults and 3 children aged 5, 10, and 13) and we entrusted the organization of our 4 excursions to Memnon Voyage. We recommend this agency with complete confidence: no feeling of being scammed, total transparency, and flawless organization. The major strong point was having a dedicated local French-speaking guide or representative just for our family. This allowed us to enjoy every moment with complete peace of mind. The transfers were perfectly managed, and communication with the agency was smooth and efficient throughout our stay. Here is a summary of our excursions: Cairo (Pyramids, Saqqarah, and Dahshur): A fascinating visit. A big thank you to our amazing guide, Malak, for her captivating explanations about the pyramids of the Giza plateau, Saqqara, and Dahshur. Desert and culture: A jeep excursion in the desert with a visit to a Bedouin village. We enjoyed a homemade barbecue with local specialties prepared just for the five of us. An authentic and memorable moment. A big thank you to Ibrahim, our local representative for this day, who was exceptional. Luxor (Karnak Temple, Ramses III Mortuary Temple, Valley of the Kings, Colossi of Memnon, and a boat ride on the Nile): A busy but beautiful day. Akram, our guide, made history accessible with very clear explanations. Special mention for the visit to the tombs of Ramses IV and Ramses VII, a memory etched in our minds. Hurghada Desert: A rich sensory experience during our buggy excursion, always perfectly supervised by Ibrahim. In summary, if you are looking for a trustworthy agency to discover Egypt with your family, offering personalized and quality service, Memnon Voyage is the ideal choice. Thank you again to the entire team for these wonderful memories.

Our two-day tour was an absolute highlight of our trip to Egypt and even exceeded our expectations. We were able to collect an incredible number of impressions and dive deep into the fascinating history of ancient Egypt – an experience that impressed us lastingly. A special thanks goes to our guide Dr. Mamdouh Osman. With his professional competence, patience and palpable passion for history, he has made the tour very special. He took a lot of time to explain everything to us in a comprehensible and happy way, responded to our questions and showed us places and details that we probably would never have experienced so intensely on our own. Our driver has also done an excellent job – always friendly, reliable and above all safe. We felt in good hands throughout the tour. The included lunch on the first day was very good and complemented the tour pleasantly. On the second day we deliberately decided against it, as we had planned our last evening in Cairo with a special dinner – we really appreciated this flexibility. Overall, this tour was a completely successful experience for us. We would book again with Memnon Reisen at any time and can recommend the company as well as the entire team without restriction. Everything was perfect! The organization is perfect. You are taken care of from A to Z. The drivers pick you up and take you back to the foot of your hotel. Arrival in Cairo our guide was waiting for us and the tours started immediately. The program is fabulous. Don’t hesitate to do the sites of Dashur and Sakkarah. Our guide Beshoy was adorable, caring, knew all the tricks not to keep us waiting, shared with us his many and excellent knowledge about Egyptian history. He introduced us to Egyptian specialties in typical restaurants. He made us discover the different sites from their best angles. He adapted the program because of a sandstorm to make us enjoy each site to the fullest. Our drivers on site were exemplary in their conduct and were very attentive. The hotel chosen was almost new, the staff very kind, and the hotel has a splendid view of the pyramids. We were a family of 4, with two children aged 9 and 14. Everything was adapted and made to make us comfortable. I recommend +++++ MEMNON VOYAGE that I did not know before this extraordinary excursion!!!!

Our driver picked us up on time at 1.30 am in a top car with enough drinks on board at the hotel and drove well to Cairo. Due to the usual control stops in Egypt and the traffic in Cairo, the outbound journey was significantly longer than the return journey and our guide Mr. Magdy unfortunately also had to wait an hour before we could invite him. Perhaps the departure time could be optimized here. Mr. Magdy then guided us through Sakkara and Dahsur and we also have the opportunity to visit some of the pyramids from the inside. He also showed us the Serapheum, which was particularly impressive, partly because there were hardly any tourists there. After the delicious and rich lunch we visited the pyramids of Giza, impressive. We would have liked to have spent a little more time here, but unfortunately this was not possible due to the delay in the morning and the closing time. At about 10pm we were back at the hotel. Overall, it was a strenuous but totally exciting, interesting and informative trip with impressive impressions. Many thanks to our driver (we unfortunately forgot the name) and our guide Mr. Magdy.

We had a wonderful tour to the pyramids. The good thing about the provider is that the steps - and the buckling pyramid can also be visited, which our provider did not offer in the hotel. These pyramids are just as worth seeing as the ones in Giza! We were picked up from the hotel punctually at 1.30am. Our driver could not speak German and hardly English, but that did not bother us. He did the 7 hour drive with enough toilet breaks without any problems. We got water and also a small bag of snacks. In Cairo our guide, an elderly gentleman named Mahmoud, joined us, with whom we spent a really great day. We should first visit the steps - and the buckling pyramid. At our request, however, the tour was turned around, so we only went to Giza. He explained a lot to us, but also left us alone a lot so that we had time for ourselves as a couple. On request he took great photos of us. He spoke perfect German. The restaurant we were taken to was also very great. The local food was absolutely great! The same driver who brought us to Cairo drove us back to Hurghada for 5 hours. Absolutely madness what this man has done all day! For us Germans this is unimaginable, so a big praise to our great driver and the great tour guide Mahmoud! The next time we go to Egypt, we book exactly the same tour! Many greetings from Lucy and Claudio.

Great excursion, two drivers picked us up on time at the hotel and provided us with drinks. Our Egyptologist Adel got into Cairo. Spoke excellent German and explained everything to us in detail. I can recommend it.

An adventurous and informative, interesting day! The guide Markus showed a lot of expertise. Many thanks to the driver Akram, who drove very well and safely - we have already experienced other things! 😬. Also the food in the restaurant was rich and very delicious. It was not the first and certainly not the last time that we book a tour with Memnon on our Egypt holiday. They are no more expensive than the larger, better-known suppliers - who unfortunately put the emphasis on dragging one into tourist traps, sorry, “authentic” craft businesses. I hope, Memnontours, that stays with you! Thanks for a very nice day!
