A truly unforgettable day awaits you in the Texas Hill Country! Join us for one of Fredericksburg’s top-rated experiences, hosted at Grapetown Vineyard & Farm, a hidden gem and working ranch with an animal rescue sanctuary.
Guests will enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at daily ranch operations while experiencing an incredible Giraffe Experience & Safari Wine Tour. Depending on your ticket selection, you may enjoy a wine tasting, meet and feed a giraffe, then relax aboard our safari-style tram as a guide escorts you around the property. Along the way, you may meet and feed kangaroos, alpacas, goats, deer, possibly pet a camel, and even see a zebra. These animals are part of our extended family—many of them rescued—and their care and stories are at the heart of this experience.
After your safari tour, return to Grapetown Vineyard to enjoy great Texas wines, plus beer and cocktails at our full bar, all while soaking in scenic Hill Country views.

What To Expect
This tour is NOT held at Safari Winery. Please do NOT go to Safari Winery. Our safari tram departs from Grapetown Vineyard only. Tour Length • Approximately 60–90 minutes, depending on group size and questions • If you have a time constraint, notify your guide at the start of the tour What to Know Before You Go • This is a working ranch—closed-toe shoes required (no sandals or flip-flops) • Tours take place outdoors in all weather; dress accordingly • Loose livestock roam the property—drive slowly and remain in your vehicle until parked • No pets allowed on the tour • Much of the tour is not wheelchair accessible due to gravel and grass terrain (email us in advance to discuss accommodations or private tours) Ticket & Policy Information • Some tickets include a wine tasting for guests 21+ • Children walking or in strollers require a ticket (newborns being carried are free) • Adults must sign farm liability waivers for themselves and accompanying children • Please arrive early—late arrivals cannot be accommodated • No refunds under any conditions • Missed tours will receive passes for a future tour • Please tip your tour guide—they work hard and truly appreciate it

5.00Overall a beautiful experience for my sister’s birthday. Jeffrey was definitely the star of the star of the show but my sister was the birthday. Staff were very friendly and informative. 5 stars for Blanca and Andy! Will definitely be coming back!

Feeding the giraffe was such a unique and unforgettable experience. A special thank you to Blanca and Andy for making our visit so memorable. They were friendly, welcoming, and truly made the day special. Great wine, wonderful people, and an incredible experience—we highly recommend it!

5.00Jeffrey the giraffe was the highlight of our day! We got to see several animals and fed the giraffe as well as some goats and other farm animals. The wine was good but the animals were what made the trip worth it!

5.00From the moment we were greeted by Blanca for our Safari Tour to our VIP Giraffe experience feeding Geoffrey, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. We loved making memories for our anniversary at this unique vineyard and would recommend it to anyone looking for something fun to do just outside of Fredericksburg. Highly recommend!

5.00I had such a great experience here! Everyone is so nice. Patience did such an amazing job explaining each animal. We got to feed the animals up close. Blanca was really knowledgeable of the animals they had.
