Shane Did great as a tour guide! Our visit to Rotary Beach was fascinating with the sea life that he pointed out to us since it was low tide. We even saw a bear at the bridge!

The directions were terrible. We asked for directions. Followed the directions. Received a phone call from driver. I explained we were having difficulty finding him. He asked where we were. I told him. He said we were at the wrong place. He instructed us to turn around and walk toward the big ship. When we didn't see the landmarks he told us to look for I called him again. No answer. He called us back and said he was loading the bus and was leaving. We missed our tour. Eventually we found where we were to be. If he would have listened closer to where I told him I was, he would have realized we were about 20 feet from him. There were to ships there. We were looking at two different ships.

Hal was an outstanding guide and by sharing his own cultural connection to the land made this trip feel extra special. He was humorous and kind with the little ones.

We met up with our tour guide ,which upon meeting him at the appointed time and place was a very friendly and funny man named Hal. He was quick to start off with tons of information and history of the area. As he drove us around to various points of interest, he would share his own personal stories of growing up in Ketchikan. Which we absolutely loved. After failing to spot some wildlife,he tried and kept trying to backtrack to make sure we spotted something. But, not his fault, wildlife spotting is anyone’s guess. As we approached the end of the tour at the Saxman Long House heritage center, he shared some amazing stories and gave us a ton of knowledge on how the long house was built and totems carved holding to strict codes of tradition . If ever in the area, this was a great tour, and if Hal hasn’t retired, I hope you get him because we left there full of his life stories and knowledge of Tlingit heritage and history of Ketchikan.

We had a great tour In Ketchikan with Seaside Tours LLC. Shane the owner was great guide helpful and watched out for us to have a safe enjoyable time. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions and also took lots of pictures of us in front of beautiful spots. Highly recommend this tour we only had 6 in our van we had individual service. Thank you Shane

Really depends which guide you get. Ours was dressed, very unprofessionally, and sweatpants and a dirty T-shirt. Spent too much time being worried about all the other vans that were going to the same locations where we were headed. Talked too much about himself growing up there, and didn’t give very much historical information

We booked this tour based on previous reviews and the ships tour being very expensive and didn’t want to be in all large crowded bus. We arrived about 15 mins earlier than booked and found out we were the only ones booked on the early tour. We had a fabulous trip with our guide Hal who even found us a wild black bear to watch. Hal was friendly and showed us lots of different places for great photos. Would def recommend this trip.

We didn't get to experience this because we were unable to get to the meeting point in time. I was very much looking forward to this. I guess I'll have to try it again if we ever come back. I am very sad.
