What To Expect
Pennicott Wilderness Journeys
Check in at Pennicott Wilderness Journey's Hobart office for the start of your full day tour. You will be greeted by your driver who will provide guided sightseeing during the journey. Check in time is 7.15am.
Be greeted by your wilderness cruise guides at our visitor centre as the start of our award winning three hour eco cruise which explores the rugged Tasman Peninsula between Port Arthur and Eaglehawk Neck.

5.00We had such a great day! Our driver and guide was friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable. He made the long drive enjoyable and shared lots of interesting information along the way. The two crew members on the cruise were also amazing. They were professional, responsible, and explained everything clearly, which made the experience even better. The scenery was incredible, and the whole tour was very well organized. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tasmania. Thank you for an unforgettable day!

5.00This was a great tour. While we did not do either two options we still had a good time. The costal portion gave us a good look at the huge cliffs between Eaglehawk and Port Arthur. Be aware that you will be on a commercial (40+ person) speedboat for the cruise on what can be rough seas.

4.00Well planned, informed operator. Tour guide Andy/ Pete was great, friendly and accommodating. The tour ran to time. And thank goodness I didn't suffer sea sickness! I would advise to take the ginger tablets ahead of time and to do the morning tour

5.00The cruise was one of the highlights of my trip to Tasmania. The views were absolutely unreal, we saw dramatic cliffs, various wildlife and peculiar rock formations - all this natural scenery was unforgettable. I also chose an option to see the Tasmanian Unzoo, a very unique and closeup experience with all kind of wildlife. I even managed to see several Tasmanian devils! During my trip to Tasmania I visited I visited multiple wildlife parks and this was the only place I got to actually see them.

1.00They overloaded the boat and we were stuck in the back of the boat behind the toilet and the pilots panel. Could not see a thing except when they stopped and we had to get out of our seats in a rocky boat to try and take pictures. I fell on another passenger and luckily neither of us got hurt. These seats. We’re obviously not meant for passengers as we did not have seat belts while others did A dangerous situation for us and a horrible experience for an expensive excursion. We feel we should have some compensation We booked 15 tours with Viator on our trip to AU and NZ and this was the only disappointment. I would advise them to consider another outsource for this rxcurxion

5.00Fantastic Day! Phil, our driver, was phenomenal. The best part of the day was the boat ride. We were treated with care and they were watching to see if anyone was getting sick (no one did). The lunch at the Lavendar was really good! Also enjoyed the Unzoo. Overall a fantastic day!!
