• Great tour and great gide!

  It was truly a great experience. We told the guide what we were interested in seeing, and he adapted the route accordingly. The bikes were well maintained and had comfortable saddles. Whenever we wanted to take a photo, all we had to do was let him know, and he would stop so he could take pictures for us. He had brought bottles of water for us and was very knowledgeable about the history and art of Tirana. He also adjusted the pace to suit us. Next time, we will definitely choose this guide and company again.

  We took the Tirana Essentials Ride: Culture & Local Life on June 8. The guide was Erind. We take cycle tours everywhere we travel and have been on 10+ cycle tours in the last few years. This tour was just ok. It started out disorganized and rushed. Erind our guide messaged us 30 minutes prior to the start with a different meeting location but we were already at the meeting location per our email. Luckily he rode over, opened the shop and gave us two bikes and we then biked to the new meeting location where the rest of the group was. We were on mountain bikes and rest of the group were on new city bikes. 6 total in our group The tour started off ok in the Skandenbeg statue with a good overview of Albanian history. After this though there were not many stops or a lot of talking from the guide Erind. You do bike a long distance and bike around the entire man made lake so you get to see a lot on your bike but there were no opportunities to stop and take a picture if you saw something. The ride felt rushed, and there wasn’t much culture and local life information given by the guide after the main square. Upon our return back we had to stop at the “other” group meeting place and wait 15+ minutes while he put away the other groups bikes, thanked the others and then we biked back to our meeting place. When we got to our spot, he didn’t thank us, he just ran over to his next clients waiting for him. So it felt to us like he is just chasing the money and not interested in providing a quality experience. So we got off our bikes , decided to tip him anyway, and then as we started to walk away Erind asked if we paid for our cycle …(which he should know)… and he did not send us the group photo afterwards… We do not recommend this company.. or maybe with a different guide…there are other cycle tour options in Tirana.
